“The Little Prince” is a must-read for anyone seeking to rediscover the beauty and simplicity of life. The book tells the story of a young prince known to have come from a very small planet called “Asteroid B-612”. He travels from planet to planet, meeting various inhabitants and learning important life lessons. The prince comes to Earth and encounters a stranded aviator in the Sahara Desert, who becomes the narrator of the story. Through their conversations, the little prince shares his experiences and wisdom, revealing themes of love, friendship, and the importance of seeing the world with childlike wonder. In particular I liked the charming illustrations drawn by the author himself and memorable quotes, such as “On ne voit bien qu’avec le cœur. L’essentiel est invisible pour les yeux” (“One sees clearly only with the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye”). The book explores deep existential and philosophical questions while maintaining a whimsical and poetic style.
