I absolutely adored this book. It started with Christmas was my attempt to read more romantic novels and get into the christmas spirit and oh boy did Jenny Hale deliver. From the first page on, I was completely involved in Holly's journey to find her meaning of life and maybe the love of her life on the way. It is safe to say that even though I expected a very cliché romantic trope I didn't know how the book would end until the last page. And maybe ... just maybe I did shed a few tears along the way. From the book's description I expected the classic love triangle when the girl returns to her home town for the holidays and will be met with two almost perfect men who are more than willing to fight for her heart. What I got was the love story of two people who met by accident (or maybe because of a christmas miracle) and who fell in love with each other in may I say not the best circumstances. There was not really much of a love triangle because even though Katherine and Rhett may have been the rational choice for a partner, it was clear that Joe's and Holly's love was the only right choice. I did not allow myself throughout the book to hope for a happy ending for the main characters' love and got more and more nervous as we approached the wedding. Let's just say I was on the edge of my seat. Luckily everything turned out just right for all the people involved which made me so happy. I definitely will be reading more of Jenny Hale this winter in hopes of being charmed and moved a few more times.
