Hermia und Lysander sind ineinander verliebt, jedoch soll Hermia Demetrius heiraten, andernfalls solle sie ins Kloster. Dies alles befehligt Theseus der Herzog von Athen. Nun wollen die Beiden Liebenden in den Wald weit weg fliehen. Helena erfährt dies natürlich von ihrer Freundin und will Demetrius für sich gewinnen und beschließt Hermia zu verraten. Jedoch haben sie nicht mit dem Feenkönig Oberon gerechnet. Mit einem anfänglichen Scherz, aber der falschen Ausführung sorgt Puck für Verwirrung.

Not my first Shakespeare and definitely not my last. Yesterday was my birthday and I got new Books so obviously I had to read them and what can go wrong with Shakespeare? Exactly nothing. This play in particular was very funny but Helena is a real [mean word] in the beginning haha. I think this is so much fun :)

Well excuse me??? Okay where do I start, because I’m just baffled right now. I never ever thought that I am going to like any of Shakespeares works as much as I liked Macbeth. Especially I didn’t expect to like one of his comedies! But A Midsummer Nights Dream proofed me wrong. I really liked the absurdity of the story. First, both Lysander and Demetrius are in love with Hermia, but after Oberon wants to prank his wife everything changes and they fall in love with Helena (Hermia’s best friend). And now we come to my favorite character of the whole novel: Puck. He is such a sweetheart! After Oberon send him to find the flower he accidentally used in on Lysander instead of Demetrius. And then the whole chaos unfolds. But my favorite part of the story was, when Puck turned Bottom’s head into the head of a donkey. I laughed so much reading this. Although, it is fairly written difficulty. But nevertheless, aren’t all Shakespeare works riddles to solve?

Ich mochte die Geschichte ganz gern. Die Umsetzung war auch wirklich genießbar, es war oft viel Drama aber das ist einfach eine persönliche Sache, ich mag das einfach nicht so gern. Ich hab nicht viel zu sagen weil ich Klassiker sind selten komplett mein Fall aber schlecht war es auf keinen Fall!
