At times absolutely terrifying (in a good way), Devolution is about what happens when the ever so intelligent "human" hunter becomes the hunted. I loved this book, even though I always ended up scared because I would read it at night before bed instead of in the daytime. I loved the characters, and I loved that the book was told in journal entries and interview snippets. It was a great first read of 2021.
