Tropes: – single dad x nanny – age gap – small town – grumpy x sunshine – opposites attract – dual PoV
I dare to say already, this may be my favorite Chestnut Springs novel. At the time I‘m writing this review, I‘m already halfway through ‘Reckless‘, so I think I can say that, can I? However, ‘Heartless‘ is to me the perfect recipe of a Chestnut Springs novel – I was hooked from the start, Willa‘s and Cade‘s first meeting is sparks everywhere… and I love it so much that this ‘panties thing‘ is their running joke throughout the book, it‘s so much fun (and it gets me every time they mention it). Then there is the dynamic of Willa and Luke and they are so cute together – I think this wouldn‘t have worked out that good if it was another book, but in this, with the whole ranch and ‘found family‘ kind of atmosphere, they just fit in here perfectly. And combined with Cade, the grumpy cowboy, I‘m just a goner, I love these book so much. Not even one of my not–so–favored tropes being thrown into all of this at the end of the story could make me love this book any less (and that‘s a huuuuge compliment). 5/5⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️(🌶️)/5
