3,75/5 o 7,25/10 Allora la prima metà è veramente noiosa e non succede praticamente nulla. Poi dalla il restante è stato molto più interessante e mi ha intrattenuto molto di più. Inoltre avevo paura che questo libro mi deludesse perché, avendo già letto altro di quest'autrice, e nei finali non è il massimo. Però, almeno nella parte finale, l'autrice non ha affrettato la trama "perché stanno finendo le pagine". Sinceramente non apprezzo questa coppia, ma ci sono stati molti momenti in cui ho apprezzato tantissimo i temi trattati dall'autrice (argomenti, non che non vengono affatto presi nella serie principale). Non sento la mancanza di Sera e Ash, ma spero tanto che almeno almeno farà un mini spin off sui figli. Inoltre ci sono delle cose che non vengono spiegata, ma penso che sia più legate alla storia di Poppy. Inoltre non sapevo che l'altro libro uscito nel mentre (Fall of Ruin and Wrath) fa parte di questo universo. Quindi per il finale di Poppy URGE una vera rilettura con quaderno per gli appunti affianco per vedere se veramente l'autrice risponde a tutte le domande. Serie consigliata? Si, se ti piacciono i Romantasy e gli High Fantasy alla Maas e Yarros. Diciamo che è un mix (più portato più per la parte romantica che per la parte High Fantasy).

Meiner Meinung nach ist das Prequell besser als die Hauptreihe. Ich bin aber trotzdem froh, dass wir hier endlich einen Abschluss gefunden haben. Man hätte diesen Band auch gut um 1/3 kürzen können, aber das scheint die Autorin nicht zu beherrschen. Trotzdem liebe ich Sera und ihre Geschichte. Nun warte ich auf den letzten Blood & Ash Band und dann wars das für mich mit der Autorin.

Da ist es nun, das 'Ende' von Sera und Nyktos... Ich hab mich schon sehr auf das Buch gefreut und durch die Infos aus der Hauptreihe, wusste ich auch schon in etwa, wie es ausgeht, trotzdem war noch genug Neues und Spannendes dabei, damit der Lesefluss nicht abbrach.. Manchmal war es zwar doch etwas langatmig, und die Frage kam auf, ob es wirklich wirklich vier Bände in dieser Reihe gebraucht hätte, oder man vielleicht doch auf ein paar gefühlte Lückenfüller hätte verzichten können und dafür in drei Teilen alles unterbringen hätt können... aber trotzdem versteht es Jen zu schreiben, wie keine andere, denn selbst ihre Lückenfüller les ich abgöttisch gerne! Bin nun mehr als gespannt, wie die Hauptgeschichte mit Poppy und Casteel nun enden wird und was Jen noch alles für uns bereit hält, aus dem Universum der Primare und Götter.

Inspiring ending of the prequel-series that contained a lot of answers for the main series and left me very satisfied and thrilled for the great finale. 😍 If there is something to criticize: The last part was a little bit too short in comparison to the start. Still, I‘m just a big fan of the whole series.

So I actually got lucky with this one because I got the book nearly a week before its release - crazy. I have read the hardcover but I can’t seem to find it here… Soooooo. There are a lot of people hating the blood and ash series and I get why- BUT those books lit up my passion for reading again in 2023 - so they have a special place in my heart. This is actually book 4 - the finale of the Flesh and Fire series - the prequel story. I’m in awe with Ash in Sera and we get a lot of good moments between them which I absolutely loved. JLA writes good spice - sometimes repetitive but it was completely fine and not too much. The character development was neat and the plot kind of fun. My biggest issue - it’s like 300 pages too long. I know this whole world is really super complex and if you want to understand the series - you NEED the prequel series. But the big conflict or battle in the end was too short (even if it was entertaining) - it resolved itself way too fast and easy. The whole trauma-thing with Sera is really well written but it becomes repetitive and frustrating. In general I felt that the author was holding back because she needs the big fight and stuff for Poppy and Cas. But I wanted more. The ending - I’m kind of disappointed. I liked the last chapter written from the POV of the stars but the last chapter between Sera and Nyktos?!?! No way. That was mean and abrupt. I needed a wholesome scene in the end - I needed closure because we say goodbye to those two. I know that they’ll be back for the finale but it won’t be their book. It makes me sad. I’m still not sure - if it’s 4 star read, probably not - but I just love these characters way too much and feel a bit emotional leaving them.
