2.5 This is kinda difficult to rate for me. It’s a short book, so stopping didn’t even occur to me. It is well written and interesting enough. I liked the idea a lot, but somehow it felt kinda … flat? There was a lot of potential there, I just don’t feel like it was realized. Evelyn was an interesting character with a lot in her past and present that could have been explored to a larger extent, as well as the main plot of the book. I wish we could have gotten more and that the author would have went into far more detail in the end. It felt rushed and nonsensical in many parts and that kinda disappointed me.
