A very well written narrative account of the Watergate scandal and a balanced look at Nixon as a complex human being. Certainly my favorite book on the topic so far. Dobbs focuses on the (roughly) 100 days following Nixon‘s re-election and narrates the unraveling of his presidency. He presents these events in the form of a drama and focuses on an easily discernible and comprehensible dramatis personae. And even though this book is full of details, I never got bored. Dobbs manages to create an interesting narrative of a historical / political event and person to which we already know the end/ resolution. This book is for anyone interested in Watergate or Nixon/ Nixon‘s presidency.
