Okayyy to be honest I’m not sure what to rate this book but to put it simply, I really liked it! It was indeed very frustrating and confusing but honestly quite interesting. This review contains spoilers‼️. It was a dark/gothic fantasy romance with mystery in it. The writing style was pretty okay but it had a good amount of new vocabulary I didn’t even knew existed HAHAHA. First we have Corvina, our girl who just came to Verenmore to study as she is all alone and wanting to begin a new life at this castle. (And can I just mention what a beautiful name Corvina is!! I really like it). There she meets Vad, her teacher, who turns out to be the owner of Verenmore and this Castle😀. An attraction between them forms instantly. They had really good chemistry! Even though if I’m being honest I sometimes found his speeches to her about being his madness and some shit about pirates and an Anker or something quite cringe😣💔 like yes some really ate (I highlighted some things on my kindle) where I was literally giggling and kicking my feet but at some of em I was just like '😬' . This book had more smut than I imagined there to be to be honest HAHAH. Not that I’m complaining because it was written well and they quite loved their dirty talk(🫢) but I still didn’t Image there to be SO MUCH of it HAHA. The plot twists were honestly unpredictable to me because it was all so random and I just didn’t expect it to be like that. We still haven’t gotten all the answers, a lot of the mystery was still left but we got our happy ending!! They got married, have a husky dog and are planning to have children and live a happy live together!🫶🏻 I’m kinda lazy to write so much like I normally do but overall this book was pretty great, a very original story that I liked☺️.
