Shenanigans :))

Terry Pratchett is always a joy to read. Everybody who ever has ever read his books knows this and to everybody who hasn't it's hard to explain. There was a lot to chuckle about, a lot to turn one's perspective on its head and a lot to enjoy. Rincewind and his luggage are among my favourite protagonists ever because of all their strangeness and inadaquatness. And in the end, Something always works out. Go read Pratchett and enjoy his cleverness :)

Fantasticly absurd

I'd love to say that this book entirely hilarious but i'd be lying. This book is comedy and absurdity on an insane level and if you'd love to get a clusterfuck experience this is for you. There were scenes that i would have rather skipped but all in all this is a very fun adventure with two insane characters. Looking forward to the other story lines!

“Inside every sane person there's a madman struggling to get out," said the shopkeeper. "That's what I've always thought. No one goes mad quicker than a totally sane person.” “Grinning like a necrophiliac in a morgue.” “It looked like the sort of book described in library catalogues as 'slightly foxed', although it would be more honest to admit that it looked as though it had been badgered, wolved and possibly beared as well.” “Unseen University had never admitted women, muttering something about problems with the plumbing, but the real reason was an unspoken dread that if women were allowed to mess around with magic they would probably be embarrassingly good at it…” “Not for the first time she reflected that there were many drawbacks to being a swordswoman, not least of which was that men didn't take you seriously until you'd actually killed them, by which time it didn't really matter anyway.” Terry Pratchett, so freakin quotable

Meh!! How do I feel?? Well, I perfer other Discworld bokks definatly but it's okay. I think it's better than The Colour of Magic but I don't think the wizard ones are for me. I will eventually read them though, hopefully! I feel as though the plot was okay, the characters too. But it still wasn't reallg for me. Now I just need to decide what Discworld to read next...
