Insgesamt habe ich ca. 25 Stunden zum Lesen gebraucht, die sich über zwei Monate gezogen haben. Der Anfang war wieder etwas holprig, aber gegen Ende konnte ich das Buch nicht mehr aus der Hand legen. Die Geschichte ist mir durch die Fernsehserie schon bekannt, der Aufbau und die Erzählung im Buch waren mir neu. Ich hab mich über einige Details gefreut, die im Tv nicht ganz zur Geltung kamen und einige Geschichten die länger erzählt wurden als in der Serie. Manchmal waren mir die Kapitel zwischen den „spannenden“ Dingen jedoch etwas zu lang. Insgesamt ein gutes Buch und ich freue mich, die Reihe weiter zu lesen 😊

Loved this second book of the series. As always, some parts leave a lot to be desired, and I think it's important as a reader to recognize the stuff that is a Bit Not Good, but those bits didn't take away from the overall framework of the story for me at all. I still enjoyed it immensely. I have to admit, the farther into DiA I got the more I forgot about Roger and Bree being the reason Claire is telling the story. Claire and Jamie's time in France was incredibly fascinating for me to read about, as was their time rallying troops together for the war. I'm fairly ignorant about that particular part of history which is probably why I found myself confused at times, but it wasn't too much of a hinder. And what a finish to the book!! The reveal of Roger's lineage! The fact that what Claire believed to be true may not be true at all!!!! I'm yelling!!!!!!!!!!!!!
