I already loved Beau from Book 1. He was the epitome of the great Montgomery dynamics, fictionally. They could have all been super stereotypically mean/rich, but they all had layers. I liked that. I liked how strong Gwen felt to me and I also liked how - apart from a few scenes when it made sense for the plot - Beau and Gwen couldn't help but communicate authentically with each other. It made their friendship actually believable. Very good book!
