This was such a good read! The world-building was very naturally woven into the story, the magic system was unique and well suited to the Roman Empire inspired setting. The story itself was captivating right from the beginning. The side characters were interesting, multilayered, and with their own motivations. Vis was, in my opinion, an utterly believable hero. After that ending, I can’t wait for book two!

Jaaa, was soll ich sagen. Es war gut, es war sogar sehr gut. Aber es war auch super kompliziert und am Anfang total zäh. Die Geschichte ist dennoch klasse und irgendwie mal was ganz anderes. Das Ende hat mich sehr mitgenommen und gefesselt, Teil 2 lege ich mir auch definitiv zu wenn es erscheint 🙂
