Ich wollte dieses Buch so gerne lieben! Ich habe mich richtig darauf gefreut und hatte total Lust auf eine Dark-Romance-Story mit Mafia-Vibes. Da das Buch so beliebt ist, wollte ich es unbedingt ausprobieren – und ich verstehe den Hype auch irgendwie. Es ist definitiv Enemies to Lovers. Mit dem Schreibstil bin ich nicht ganz warm geworden. Die Erzählperspektive ist nicht unbedingt mein Favorit – aber das ist natürlich Geschmackssache. Ich bin mir sicher, dass sie ihren Zweck erfüllt, aber für mich hat sie es ein bisschen schwieriger gemacht, in die Geschichte einzutauchen. Was mir besonders aufgefallen ist: Die Hauptcharaktere reden erstaunlich wenig miteinander. Vieles passiert über innere Monologe, und die Handlung geht stellenweise nur langsam voran. Es gibt definitiv spannende Momente, und die Geschichte hat auf jeden Fall Potenzial, aber zwischendurch hat es sich für mich etwas schleppend angefühlt. Vielleicht liegt es auch einfach an mir, weil ich gerade ein bisschen im Reading Slump stecke und es mir generell schwerfällt, das richtige Buch zu finden. Ich habe beschlossen, es erst einmal zur Seite zu legen – vielleicht gebe ich ihm später noch eine zweite Chance. Mal sehen, ob der Funke dann noch überspringt☺️!

Hab mich die ersten paar Kapitel mit dem Buch echt schwer getan vor allem da es in der 3. Person geschrieben ist. Was bin ich froh, dass ich es nicht abgebrochen habe. Ich glaube das war eine der besten Mafia Romances die ich je gelesen habe. Kann es kaum Abwarten weiterzulesen, aber nachdem ich die Verbindung zwischen Tristan und Morana verstanden habe brauche ich erstmal 2-3 Werktage Pause um mich zu erholen.

🇩🇪 Als ich das Buch angefangen habe, dachte ich nicht, dass es mich so positiv überraschen würde!  Der Schreibstil aus der dritten Person war zu Beginn etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber ich habe mich echt schnell zurechtgefunden. Die Autorin kann unfassbar gut Gefühle zwischen den Zeilen vermitteln!  Dieses Buch ist ein richtig gutes Enemies-to-Lovers Buch, mit starken und vielschichtigen Charakteren. Ja, es gibt auch Spice, aber nicht so viel, wie man es vermutlich erwarten würde. Ein echt gutes Dark Romance Buch, mit einer großartigen Handlung!  / 🇺🇲 When I started the book, I didn't think it would surprise me so positively! The third-person writing style took a bit of getting used to at first, but I found my way around really quickly. The author is incredibly good at conveying feelings between the lines! This book is a really good enemies-to-lovers book, with strong and multi-layered characters. Yes, there is spice, but not as much as you would probably expect. A really good dark romance book, with a great plot!

I wanted to read this for a while and I was just in the mood for a dark-ish mafia romance - and it was exactly that. I liked the build-up a lot! The first two thirds of the book were so filled with tension and longing and it was just so good. But after that, it kind of let me down a bit. I was not as invested anymore and some of the plot points were a little too unrealistic for my liking. I was under the impression this was a standalone, but turns out it’s not. So on to the next one!!

Mir fiel es überraschend schwer das Buch aus der Hand zu legen. Die tension ist unfassbar gut und man möchte einfach wissen was hinter den Geheimnissen/ ungeklärten Fragen steckt. Zudem hat mir gefallen, dass ich den Plot nicht schon im Voraus erahnt habe. Nen Stern ziehe ich ab, weil ich dieses „Ich werde ihn ändern“ bzw. „Ich werde ihn retten.“ in der Art und in dem Umfang nicht gefällt. Außerdem war der Spice nicht so ganz meins. 😅 Alles in allem aber einer der guten Dark Romance Bücher.

Die vielen Monologe und die Erzählersicht haben mich absolut nicht gestört, obwohl ich sonst nicht so der Fan davon bin, denn es wurden alle Gefühle usw sehr gut rüber gebracht und trotzdem hat mich die Story wie gesagt einfach total gecatched. Das Buch hat mich durch so etwas wie eine Achterbahn der Gefühle geschickt. Es hatte alles dabei von Spannung bis hin zu sehr emotionalen, traurigen Momenten und nicht zu vergessen es gab SEHR viel Tension🤭 Morana ist eine unglaublich starke Frau, die einiges durch machen muss und trotzdem überhaupt nicht auf den Mund gefallen ist. Sie ist mir absolut ans Herz gewachsen! Für Tristan kann ich kaum die richtigen Worte finden. Er hat eine sehr düstere und traurige Vergangenheit aber trotz seines hasses scheint er in Morana irgendwo sein Licht zu sehen. Ich freue mich schon sehr auf Band 2 und bin gespannt wie es mir Morana und Tristan weiter geht und wieviel noch hinter allem steckt.🖤

At first it was a bit difficult for me to read this book because it’s in 3rd perspective and I hate that normally BUT the tension between morana and Tristan?!?!? These last chapters killed me!! Tristan holding a gun to Morana‘s jaw while kissing her in the rain?!?!? The way I screamed🤭🤭

i honestly did not like the writing in this book, it just felt super repetitive and the fmc was just asking too many damn questions. but besides that, i really did enjoy the plot! most of the characters did feel kinda shallow, like there’s not a lot of depth to them. most of the character depth is with the fmc and the mmc. i did enjoy the banter between the two and the end reveal had me sweating. i really would’ve liked a dual pov though. overall this was a really fun read and i’ll probably continue with the series.

4.25/5⭐️ I haven’t read a dark romance in a while and this was exactly what I needed at the moment. It helped me so much not to fall into a reading slump. Morana, our main character, is a literal computer genius. I love that so much about her and it made the book a lot more special. Tristan Caine is mysterious and closed-off with strong emotions fueled by old memories locked incredibly deep inside him—for no one to see of feel. They both belong to rivaling families which made it so much more exciting and thrilling when they are alone together. The enemies-to-lovers is done phenomenally with a tension between Moana and Tristan that’ll take your breath away. This book is full of amazing tropes like knife-to-throat and “I am here to kill you” scenes, forced proximity, some jealousy, she gets hurt, „we are not supposed to do this“ and so many more tropes! Still, there is one thing that I noticed which is that Tristan and Morana barely have any dialogue/communication scenes. There was a lot staring between them with great tension but sometimes not one of them would say a word or—after a few minutes of silence and observing each other—either him or her would say a thing and then leave the room. I would have loved a little more dialogue between them but other than that, there wasn’t really anything negative to point out. This book had some scenes that made my heart still, just for it to pick up pace and start racing out of sheer excitement—all because RuNyx knows how to write scenes that will keep you on the edge of your seat! I remember waking up every morning just to get excited to continue The Predator in the evening because this is one of the most entertaining books I have ever read and I can’t wait to continue this series with The Reaper once I get the physical copy of it! The Predator is thrilling, full of tension and beyond hot!! If you’re a fan of dark romance, I absolutely recommend you pick up this book!!

at first i struggled to get into the story, but after 50 pages i was so excited to continue reading about tristan and morana!! the tension!! chefs kiss 🤌🏻 tristan? chefs kiss 🤌🏻 i have a weakness for biker, that be said.. and morana?? LOVED her!! i would start reading the reaper now, but my dumbass has only bought the predator first, before i don’t like the book.. so now im laying here in my bed and have to wait for the reaper to arrive, i didn’t even order it yet.. ugh!! my advice; buy both books if you wanna start this series! :‘)

I think I saw a Tiktok about the motorcycle scene and I was like yeah bye gotta go read this. This book is like a less unhinged version of Haunting Adeline but still darker than, say, King of Wrath. There are some similarities though, which was pretty nice. Morana writes codes and wears a knife strapped to her thigh, like YASSS that’s the kind of mafia romance I want, where the female protagonist isn’t some helpless damsel in distress. First half had me swoon, the final act was kind of eh. So much buildup for The Truth? But still excited to read what’s next

can someone please explain to my why I only now read this book? You are telling me this masterpiece exists out in the world for three years already? Damn. I’m late but at least I got here okay? The way this book had me gripped and in a tight chokehold from the first until the very last page. I kid you not, devoured it in one day. And I totally didn’t have time to read today. I MADE TIME I WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE MAKING. the damage is done now. And I blame no one except Morana 'the badass little hacker genius' Vitalio and Tristan 'Can go all predator on me' Caine. Morana was fun to read about. Adore that woman and her fierceness. And Mr 'The Predator' 'Shoot me with your gun' Tristan Caine…. I was madly in love within a second of his first appearance. And then he said sentences like “You do something like that again, I’ll fucking shoot you in the heart. I decide when you die.” or "No one else gets to kill you, Ms. Vitalio, the last face you see before you die will be mine. When it comes to death, you're mine."…. and I was a goner. No salvation in sight. And i don’t even want to be saved. He rides a bike. He can kill a man whilst maintaining eye contact with you. THAT SCREAMS HOT TO ME? Let’s be honest: I doubt there are many man that I have ever been so attracted to by READING WORDS. I don’t know what it is - but the way he is written is addictive and I’m madly in love. ok bye need to read book two but you fucked up little freaks better go read this book or

Ein wahres Highlight und 5 Sterne 🌟 wert. Ich freue mich sehr auf die Folgebände. ... ... nach 2 Jahren nun ein Reread, weil bald Band 6 herauskommt und ich noch einmal alles durchlesen wollte als Erinnerungsauffrischung. Es ist nach wie vor ein 5 Sterne Read. Die Tiefgründigkeit der Chataktere, vor allem hier Tristan und Morana, die Vergangenheit, was sie seit frühester Kindheit in den sich bekämpfenden Mafia-Familien durchmachen mussten, der Plottwist, die Erkenntnis, was beide wirklich miteinander verbindet... und dann ACHTUNG SPOILER diese Szene auf den Friedhof am Ende dieses Bandes... diese eine Berührung des verbrannten Autos durch Tristan... Der kurze Zeit später folgende schönste 6 Seiten andauernde alles sagende sanfte 💋, diese Entscheidung und das Wissen, dass nichts mehr wie vorher war... 5 🌟 und mehr für diese eine meiner Lieblingsserien. Runyx ist und bleibt eine meiner Favoriten Autorinnen. Ich kann kaum Band 6 abwarten und freue mich auf den Reread aller Bände bis dahin (und lasse sogar meine Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac pausieren dafür...)

Bei Romance lese ich nicht ganz so gerne aus der dritten Person... und so hat es hier etwss gedauert, bis ich mit der Story und den Charakteren warmwurde. Nichtsdestotrotz hat mich die Story schnell gepackt. Ich liebe die ganze Mafia Romance-Atmosphäre in dem Buch. Tristan hat zwischen den beiden Extremen, "I hate her" und "touch her and I'll kill her", auf eine Art balanciert, bei der ich zu 💯% mit an Bord war, obwohl man meinen sollte, dass es nicht möglich ist. Ich mochte es, dass die Story so viel mehr als Romance war - es gibt so viele Storylines, die im Hintergrund ablaufen, und ich hoffe sehr, dass hierzu in den Folgebänden nochmal mehr enthüllt wird. Alles in allem ist das Buch ein richtig guter Reihenstart, der mich hoffen lässt, dass die weiteren Bände so richtig einschlagen werden✌️
