Cute. A whole book just for character development, it feels like. I fell in love with the Inner Circle, their domesticity and trust in each other. They're all such sweethearts. I almost cried at the end for Feyre finding her passion, it's what she and everyone else benefiting from this passion deserve. <3 I wouldn't say it was boring, just simply that it was focussing on the in-between. Of course, there are other topics to discuss, like the war camps and the borders, and and and, but instead of making it about that, much like in the third book, this book focused on the happy moments instead, which I liked. I do hope that the next book (books? LOL.) might be a bit more of a mix between them? Rhys deserves everything. He's doing his best. Lucien is struggling and going through his own stuff, but he's got a good heart. Tamlin didn't deserve Rhys' meal.

Das Buch existiert vermutlich nur, um Geld zu verdienen. Es hatte durchaus schöne Szenen mit den verschiedenen bekannten Charakteren. Es passiert aber rein gar nichts. Es wird nur geredet. Mehr kann man dazu nicht sagen. Ob ich mir den nächsten Band mit Nesta antun kann, weiß ich noch nicht. Der Charakter geht seit Minute 1 nicht an mich. Schlimmer noch, ich kann sie nicht ausstehen.

war ganz gut. es ist nichts besonderes passiert aber ich liebe einfach die character und die welt und alles drum und dran. war ein richtig schöner gemütlicher read, total peaceful und entspannt, die reihe zu lesen fühlt sich einfach wie zuhause an, ich fühle mich so pudel wohl beim lesen auch wenn nicht mal irgendwas passiert ist. man muss das buch aufjedenfall nicht lesen also man verpasst nichts, fand es aber ganz schön zusätzlich noch einen kleinen unaufregenden teil von dem inner circle mitzubekommen. basically handelt das buch von einer traditionellen familien feier und zeigt nicht nur feyres fokus im leben und ihre sicht auf dinge sondern auch rhys, cassains und mors perspektive. fand aber komisch das mit dem wechsel der erzählperson, sich auch die narrator perspektive geändert hat, bei feyre und rhys war es 1. perspektive und bei cassian und mor 3. das hat mich manchmal verwirrt. nesta hat mich in dem buch voll genervt weil die einfach so bockig ist und literally so gemein zu cassian ist obwohl die sich doch eigentlich lieben . gegen ende gibts eine ganz gute spice scene.

ACOFAS was a cute little short story, but really nothing more. It had no tension or anything and was clearly more meant to showcase a moment of peace between the characters after the things that happened in the first books of the series. But therefore, it also lacked tension and anticipation. There was nothing that made me go: OH! I wanna know how this book ends! I really enjoyed seeing Elain finding back to her cheerful spirit and, to my suprise, Nesta dealing with her own trauma after the great battle. While she was always described as some sort of stern diva, we now got to see her in a different light that called for more desperate measures. And I loved that a lot! While everyone keeps going on, she clearly suffers and tries to deal with that without pulling others into her mess. That plot really gave her a lot more complexity. One thing I still have to talk about, however, is how much I hated Feyre in this book. In the others, she was kind of there and that was okay with me. But in this one, she was horrible. She tried to force her dreamlife on her friends and family MULTIPLE TIMES, not caring a second for their wishes and needs and throwing a little hissy fit in her mind that people just don't want to be her little house mates. She expects understanding and distance from Lucien towards Elain and, in the same breath, accuses him of not caring for Elain and not working on their future, which, besides, Elain doesn't even want. And her mate Rhys isn't any better. I mean, hello? He is hating on Nesta for letting Feyre hunt for her family when they were younger but the fact that Elain also allowed this to happen doesn't matter to him at all? And then he says: "I can't forgive someone who did something like this to you?". How two faced is that? And please don't talk to me about the smut scenes which were a little revolting in this book. Don't get me wrong, I do like a good smut scene from time to time. But the ones in this book? Ew. It was an okay-ish read for inbetween but definitely no masterpiece and, compared to the main books, had no substance. Sorry not sorry.

Das einzige, was mich schon hart genervt hat, bevor sie es revealed haben, ist, dass das Geschenk an Rhys natürlich die Bereitschaft war, n Kind in die Welt zu setzen. Als sei es das einzige, was eine Beziehung vervollständigt 🥲 dieses Folgen des „normativen“ Wegs war bisschen enttäuschend, ansonsten süße Geschichte.

3.5⭐️ i feel so bad for giving this under 4 stars because I love these characters with my whole heart. The first 70 ish pages put me in a reading slump tho and it took me weeks to get back into it. It felt like nothing important happened and a lot of the book felt kinda unnecessary. I rly loved the solstice chapters tho and of course feysand. Everyone celebrating together and just being happy and joking around was what I needed and wanted. Just my favorite characters being happy <33

Wow! Was eine Enttäuschung! Nach einer so epischen Trilogie kann man doch wenigstens etwas Spannung erwarten oder? Verlange ich etwa zu viel? Durch diese miesen Rezensionen hatte ich jetzt echt nicht die höchsten Erwartungen, als ich an dieses Buch herangegangen bin, aber.. wow. Enttäuschung ist echt das einzig passende Wort. Selbst für einen Zwischenband. Alles, was dieses Buch gerettet hat, waren der Schreibstil von Sarah J. Maas, der mal wieder on point war und einige Szenen, die sich zwischen den Charakteren abgespielt haben. Das wurde aber fast wieder von Nesta zerstört, die ich einfach nur hasse :D Oh man.. Die Spin-Off Trilogie werde ich wohl kaum lesen.. Echt schade.. Bewertung: 2.5/5 ♥

This book was beautiful. It was that sort of needed read between the war and every chaos of the previous books and what's coming next. It was relaxing, to just read about festive times and love. Love how we also got so much more insight in the other characters their lifes. It's a little treasure and SJM nails it every damn time. Onto the next one!

Sarah J. Maas führt uns in A Court of Frost and Starlight erneut in die verzauberte Welt von Prythian und bietet eine wunderbare Übergangsnovelle, die sowohl herzerwärmend als auch emotional packend ist. Es ist eine willkommene Rückkehr zu unseren geliebten Charakteren und bereitet gleichzeitig den Weg für zukünftige Abenteuer. Einer der Hauptpunkte, die mir auffiel, war die Behandlung von Lucien. Der arme Lucien! Niemand scheint ihn wirklich zu verstehen und er wird oft unfair behandelt. Man spürt förmlich seine Isolation und seinen inneren Kampf. Ich hoffe, dass seine Geschichte in zukünftigen Büchern mehr Tiefe bekommt und er die Anerkennung erhält, die er verdient. Ein weiterer Punkt, den ich ansprechen möchte, sind die Zeit- und Szenensprünge in der Handlung. Sie waren zwar nicht groß, haben mich aber manchmal leicht verwirrt. Es gab Momente, in denen ich mich fragte, ob ich etwas überlesen hatte. Trotzdem war die Charakterentwicklung so fesselnd, dass ich über diese kleinen Verwirrungen hinwegsehen konnte. Was mir besonders gut gefiel, war die winterliche Stimmung und die Festlichkeiten. Sie brachten eine gemütliche und festliche Atmosphäre, die perfekt zu dieser Jahreszeit passt und das Buch zu einer idealen Lektüre für die Feiertage macht. Maas‘ Fähigkeit, emotionale und atmosphärische Szenen zu schreiben, bleibt unübertroffen. Ich möchte auch die tieferen Einblicke in die Gedanken und Gefühle der Protagonisten hervorheben. Es war schön, die Charaktere in ruhigeren Zeiten zu begleiten und mehr über ihre inneren Konflikte und Hoffnungen zu erfahren. Diese introspektiven Momente haben das Buch für mich besonders wertvoll gemacht. Insgesamt ist A Court of Frost and Starlight eine charmante und bereichernde Ergänzung der Serie. Die Leser, die die vorherigen Bücher genossen haben, werden sicherlich auch dieses Buch lieben, auch wenn es einige kleinere Schwächen aufweist.

Not having started ACOSF yet, I'd say skip this. There's a little insight into what Nesta has been up to, and as much as everyone hates on her for going to a tavern and allegedly taking home a different man every night. The rest of them is no better. 80% of this book they're all drunk or screwing each others' brains out. I just want to know Nesta's thoughts. Is she really hooking up with those guys? Did you despair so much because her life changed? It was shit before and it's not worse now. Except before nobody stood up to her, and now she's on her own (by choice!). So in my book there's no reason to be so down - but I'm sure SJM has reasons buried deep within her which we'll learn about in ACOSF. I like the tension with Cassian, although he too deserves better, but I'm sure he'll win her over eventually. We learn that Elain is still not acknowlediging Lucien's existence, but obviously has a crush on Azriel (I can't blame her, I love him and want more of him). However, Lucien is severly mistreated by everybody. I cannot blame him for joining the band of exiles. Did I mention that I still don't like Feyre? She and Lucien were getting closer again and I hate that she's being a complete ass towards him. Everybody is dealing with shit their own way and she's somehow entitled to stick her nose into things that aren't her business. I like the whole idea of a therapy drawing community center and that she gifted her mirror image to Rhys, but at this point they're both overrated. Yes he's a great guy who suffered a lot for the good of his people, but his begavior towards Tamlin is schizophrenic at best. Tam knows he's made mistakes. Give him a chance to heal and grow please.

It's not bad. It's worth reading i had a fun time but there was something amiss for me. Like every chapter there was potential for a very heartfelt scene or Fey's and finally finding time for each other but then they had other things to do. But you can really feel how much they love each other in this book. But sometimes the things Rhys said i was like Excuse me what now

I really dislike Feyre and did not enjoy any of her viewpoints. It is often told how beautiful, how capable, how good a painter she is - but told and not shown. Other people she interacts with usually just seem to be a tool to show how awesome and perfect she is. Of course she can teach an art class without ever having painted much or learned it. Of course she can manage being a High Queen without a secretary and without anyone teaching her anything about managing / governing a city or kingdom. Of course she is suuuch a nice person, even though she forces her financially broke, depressed, traumatised sister to celebrate a holiday. And pressures her to accept a parter that Nesta seemingly just can't deal with at the moment. Because if Feyre is happy with her mate it has to work for Nesta too? The scenes with Nesta and Cassian were kinda interesting, but it feels just like a prelude to their story in the next book. I wish I did not buy all the books of this series after liking the first book.

This book is very dear to me, i really liked the cozy atmosphere and the way everyone is slowly healing from the bad thing that occured in Prythian. Im cheering for Cassian and Nesta so muchh! Im excited for the 5th book!! 🇩🇪 ✨❄️🌌Es ist Feyres erste Wintersonnenwende als High Lady. Dieses Buch liegt mir sehr am Herzen, ich mochte die gemütliche Atmosphäre und die Art und Weise, wie alle langsam von dem Schlimmen genesen, das in Prythian passiert ist. Ich drücke Cassian und Nesta so die Daumen! Ich freue mich auf das 5. Buch!!

Das Buch fühlt sich an wie ein kleines Happy End. Nach den ganzen Strapazen der bisherigen Geschichte bekommen die Charaktere hier mal eine Auszeit. Mir hat es sehr gefallen das das hier aus den unterschiedlichen Perspektive der Personen die Geschehnisse dargestellt wurden. So konnte man viel tiefer in die Persönlichkeiten Einblicken. An sich ist die Handlung ehr entspannt, fand ich aber nicht weiter tragisch da der Fokus darauf lag zu verstehen wie die Charaktere mit dem erlebten umgehen und es verarbeiten.

Ich mochte es, dass man hier auch die Gedanken und Sichtweisen der anderen Charaktere mal lesen konnte. Es ließ sich gut lesen, hatte aber wenig Spannung - sollte es denke ich auch nicht. Ob es den Teil wirklich als eigenes Buch braucht weiß ich nicht genau. Ngl - Nesta regt mich so auf :D ich hoffe, bzw ließ das der Teaser beim überfliegen schon erahnen, dass ihre Geschichte und ihre Wut erklärt wird und es auch ein bisschen mehr um sie geht.

To stars who listen and the dreams that are answered. Vielleicht habe ich die fan Brille auf, aber ich fand die „Novelle“ toll. Ehrlich gesagt würde ich aber auch ehrlich alles über den inner circle lesen. Das Buch ist einfach der Übergang von Feyra und Rhys zu den anderen Charakteren und ihren Geschichten. Wir bekommen hier auf jeden Fall auch schon eine Menge neuer Probleme gezeigt, die jetzt nach der Schlacht mit Hybern unsere Lieblinge beschäftigen. In das nächste Buch gehe ich mit hohen Erwartungen rein und bin mir aber sicher, dass es mich nicht enttäuschen wird.

This book is just vibes. Yes, nothing that interesting does happen but I would still read more books about the IC just shopping, drinking wine and being wholesome together. (Because they do deserve some peace and quiet) Feyre and Rhysands love for each other is just everything. And if SJM did not want me to ship Elain and Azriel then why does this book exist ?

2 stelle = it was ok A volte estremamente noioso altre volte commovente e leggero. Nesta e Cassian sono quella coppia che non voglio conoscere (quindi il seguito non mi interessa affrontarlo manco per sbaglio) il resto è banalmente un momento "natalizio" che i personaggi vivono dopo un momento di guerra: una tranquillità che non si aspettavano di poter vivere e che, a volte, sento immotivata da provare. L'ho letto solo per Rysand e Feyr, un po' per la combriccola di Velaris, MA NON PER LE SORELLE, LUCIEN E TAMLIN. Quelli confermano ancora la mia voglia di prenderli a pedate sui denti (forse Elain si sta un po' scendendo dalla lista di "Pezzi di merda" che ho stilato su questa serie, ma comunque abbiamo un carattere troppo incompatibile per sopportarla per queste poche pagine).

Meine Meinung: Hach ja, es war unglaublich schön wieder in die Welt einzutauchen, die Sarah J. Maas erschaffen hat. Die ersten drei Teile waren ja schon Jahreshighlights für mich! Die „Haupttrilogie“ las ich damals auf Deutsch, doch auf die deutsche Übersetzung von ACOFAS konnte ich nicht warten. Ich MUSSTE wissen wie es weitergeht, weshalb ich sie mir auf Englisch holte. Was auch zum 1. Punkt führt: Ich hatte nämlich anfangs echt Mühe in die Geschichte reinzukommen. Ich lese eigentlich sehr gerne auf Englisch, jedoch hab ich nie wirklich Fantasy gelesen und wenn dann eher leichte Kost. Nach dem ersten Drittel war ich dann aber ganz gut dabei und ich konnte die Geschichte endlich richtig geniessen. In diesem Buch sieht man nicht nur Feyre’s Perspektive sondern auch Rhysands, Cassians, Morrigans usw. was ich LIEBTE! Ich mochte schon im 2. und 3. Teil die Kapitel aus Rhysands Sicht. Was ich aber zum Inhalt sagen muss ist, dass es eine sehr ruhige Geschichte ist und für diese Autorin eher ungewöhnlich. Die ersten drei Teile sind ja ziemlich schnell, actionreich und mit vielen Plottwists. Trotzdem mochte ich die Story sehr, obwohl ich sogar viel Schlechtes davon gehört habe – auch von grossen Fans.

this book felt like a damn chore and i just couldn't get through it. if you need something soothing after ACOWAR wrecked you and want to see your favorite characters have some calming days, read this. if you NEED a plot to find a book interesting, don't. it makes sense tho, it's supposed to be a holiday novella but i'm not a fan of cutesy books, even if it's just a novella of my faves i'll get bored at some point. there were some things i'd say were kinda important but skipping it wouldn't be the end of the world and you can just google the most important things happening in this book.
