Finally, I can leave this behind … it was kind of a torture most of the time. Everything was described in unnecessary details still nothing was really said. Every little thoughts of the protagonists were displayed pages-long and still it was not possible for me, to like any of the characters or feel close to them. Though, how it all turned out, surprised me and made a good twist because this was what I could have never suggested. I think the author tried to make a poetic, ‚deeper meaning‘ setting but for me It just endet up inflated with pseudo meaningfulness and didn’t let me really feel anything at all. The story remains blurry and impalpable and I‘m just glad and feel relieved that I finished this nerve-wrecking book. I had so many expectations for at first, because the story is inspired by true events but all this potential was given away. Really sad!
