Este me gustó un poco más porque siento que Matteo y Gianna tienen más historia pero esto se debe a los tres libros anteriores. Con este libro confirme que Lucas me cae pésimo. La forma en la que trataba a Gianna sabiendo que el mucho peor que ella me tenía harta, lo detesto tanto...realmente creo que la dulce de Aria se merece algo mejor. El siguiente libro me trae con algo de cautela porque aún veo a Liliana como una niña pero veremos qué sucede.

Out of the 3 books in the “Born in Blood” series I’ve yet read, this one is – hands down – my favorite. It’s also the book I was most excited for. Gianna first appears in Aria’s and Luca’s book, and I knew back then, it would be a delight to read from her PoV – and I was right, it is a delight. She is a badass, and probably the most active (she is actively choosing her fate, trying to leave the mob etc.) out of the female protagonists of Cora Reilly I’ve met so far. She takes action right when the story begins, fights back and wants to forge her own path. And if there’s something I always appreciate it’s a strong woman. Gianna is the queen of this book (maybe the whole series, we will see) However, not just her – what I loved about Matteo is that he is on her side from the start, and he is obsessed with her. He isn’t this typical Mafia man the way Luca is. He bends the rules when he wants to, doesn’t really care about the opinion of others, and wants Gianna by his side and no other. He isn’t perfect, but for a Mafia guy he is fine. I adored their banter, that is the most fun part, and I’m wholeheartedly convinced Gianna and Matteo are perfect for, maybe even mirrors of each other. My only point of critic is the pacing, and the length of the book. 100 pages more, more details, and a slower pacing, and in my opinion the book would have benefited from that. But even with my critic in mind, I enjoyed reading this so much, it’s definitely re-read-worthy for me, love it. 4/5⭐️ 🌶️🌶️/5

[Kindle/English] ▪︎ Spoiler möglich I'm not gonna lie... Vor Beginn diesen Bandes (3/8) konnte ich mir Gianna & Matteo überhaupt nicht vorstellen. Natürlich Enemies to Lovers, aber die beiden? Doch sitze ich in der Zwischenzeit hier und bin begeistert. Ich habe bereits den folge Band abgeschlossen und muss sagen das Matteo/Gianna von den 4 paaren weiterhin mein favorite ist. Ja Gianna ist dezent bitchy aber darüber kann ich hinweg sehen. Die beiden passen einfach zusammen und gerade Matteo, welchen ich mir nach Band 1 noch nicht so vorstellen konnte, hat mich begeistert. Er geht für Gianna wirklich über Leichen und hält nach allem zu ihr. Was mich besonders freut, ist das mein Kritikpunkt in Band 1&2, und zwar eine Sicht des Protagonisten, sich in diesem Band verwirklicht hat mit Matteo. Was es einen einfach unglaublich leichter macht ihn zu verstehen und lieb zu gewinnen. Von den bislang 4 gelesen Bänden schnitt Hatred mit 4★ am besten ab.
