The book and the story were alright; a bit long-winded. And while I really loved a couple of the characters, I disliked most of them with a passion. I just didn’t connect with them. I didn’t SEE them, for they were rather flat, preoccupied, egocentric, narrow-minded and without much compassion, without deep, understandable emotions of any kind. The protagonists simply didn’t cut it for me.
