While some of the world building kept me interested enough, I wasn’t very much enjoying the experience of reading this book / listening to the audio book. Most of it was boring, the morals were ham-fisted and there were neither engaging characters nor a story to pull me in. I liked the idea of the split narrative, alternating between pieces of both planets and the protagonists present and past, and when the everyday life of these societies was described I was reminded why I kept listening. However, none of the characters did it for me, they were pretty one dimensional. Also, nothing happens in this book, which means you would need great characters or fascinating ideas to pull you through. It´s basically a book of someone bland describing their pretty mundane life.
