This is not a book I would have ever picked up on my own, had my librarian not recommended it to me. I saw that some people compared it to Lord of the Flies, which definitely makes sense, and which also made me enjoy the book a bit more, but overall it was simply disturbing. I might not have been in the right mindset while reading the book, but I cannot think of one single thing I liked about this book, other than maybe its exploration of good and evil, and the boundaries thereof.
