Damnnn okay !! I really really loved this book and I’m curious how the other 2 parts are going to look like. This review has spoilers ‼️. We have Millie, the new Housekeeper for the Winchesters family. But Millie has a dark past, she has been in prison for ten years of her life because of murder. But I must say, she shouldn’t have any prison time at all in my opinion because she murdered a boy who wanted to rape her former best friend😗. But she’s still on parole, so no matter what happens nobody can contact the police or she’ll go back straight to jail. The Winchester Family consists of Nina, Andrew and Nina’s daughter Cecilia. We learn that Cecilia isn’t even Andrews daughter, only Ninas. Nina seems crazy, she switches between different personalities and treats Millie like shit. Millie’s room is in the attic, it’s stuffy and kind of small but she appreciates what she has since she has been sleeping and living in her car. She notices strange things, 3 little water bottles in the mini fridge, the window is painted shut, there’s scratch marks on the wooden door and a very important thing, the door only locks from the outside. As I said, Nina seems crazy and Cecilia seems like a brat. Andrew is very nice and lovable towards them all. The book is divided into 3 parts and the first part is written by Millie’s POV, we discover that Nina has been to a psychiatric hospital and has tried to drown her own daughter when she was little. The second part however is written by Ninas pov, and the plot takes a drastic turn. Turns out, Andrew is the psychopath. He locks up Nina as a punishment and makes her do crazy things to get out and abuses her. It went on for many many years, until she finally confided to a person, Enzo, the Italian landscape gardener. Everyone thought he didn’t speak any English, but turns out he does. So he decides to help her escape. After many tries Nina has an idea, and that’s when Millie comes to the story. Nina has employed Millie for a reason, and that is to kill him without her knowing it. The plot twists and Andrew finally gets what he deserved after he ends up being locked up in the attic by Millie herself. She makes him pull out his teeth and he ends up dead. Nina and Millie both got a 'Happy End'. Nina is finally living a normal life with her daughter after all the trauma she’s been through. I’m a little sad that she didn’t end up with Enzo tho cause I was kinda rooting for them a little bit🙈. And Andrews funeral, his parents show up and turns out he got these crazy punishment ideas because that’s how his mother showed him 'life lessons' 😃. In the epilogue we see Millie having a new job interview as a housekeeper for a woman called Lisa, and then she notices the bruises on her arm. Lisa asks her if she’s able to help😶. And that’s where the book ends ladies and gentlemen, so I’m curious what’s going to happen next. This book had some twists and I really liked the writing style !! Would definitely recommend it😋
