Sylvie comes from a kind of broken household and now she has only her big brother that is currently serving in the army and overseas. She has problems with guys that want to buy her bar and their threats are getting heavier and heavier. Karden is a former K9 soldier and best friends with Sylvies brother, when he gets tasked with protecting Sylvie his whole life changes. The feisty and fiercely independent woman breaks his tough exterior and he falls hard and fast for the kind of broken woman. I really loved how Karden just knew what his woman needed and how he helped her through her troubles and complicated feelings. It was a really great story that pulled on my heartstrings
