this was quite the roller coaster… easy enough to start rolling, it quickly lost some of its momentum but finally sped up (and kept a rather dangerous speed) towards the end before concluding in several funny loopings and a wonderfully chaotic end scene. although, if Hugh hadn’t had quite some redeeming features i think I would’ve dnf due to all his insistence on his "tainted Standish blood"… ↳ would i reread? there’s no immediate impulse to reread, but Minerva and Hugh’s story certainly had its moments and i’ll probably revisit certain passages in the future :)
