I just read Edgedancer and I gave it 3.5 stars. Lift is a good main character, and I already liked her in the interlude in WoR. While she acts extremely young it is to say, she IS young and consindering that it feels right how she acts. Even if her character isn't as well written as some of the main characters in WoK for less than 150 pages Sanderson did really well I normally don't like taking a break from a series as good as Stormlight Archive (i know, i know, the novellas aren't breaks. they aren't the main books though), i think Edgedancer isn't that bad of a break. It's fast-paced, short and interesting enough to keep reading. While it doesn't add much world building, I think it's worth reading

Was habe ich diese Novelle gemocht. Lift ist ein ganz aussergewöhnlicher Charakter mit ihrer Starrköpfigkeit und ihrer Schlagfertigkeit. Sie wirft sich von einem ins nächste Abenteuer zusammen mit ihrem „Voidspren“. Schnell wird aber klar, dass diese Sucht nach dem nächsten Adrenalinkick auf der ständigen Flucht vor ihrer Vergangenheit gründet und das berührt, vor allem wenn man Lifts junges Alter bedenkt. Trotzdem ist die Geschichte durchweg von tollem Sanderson-Humor durchzogen. Diese kurze Geschichte gibt eine Menge Infos zum Stormlight Archive main plot und konnte mich alleine deswegen schon fesseln. Ich freue mich schon darauf Lift wieder zu begegnen!

Una historia corta, o medianamente corta, de acompañamiento para El archivo de las Tormentas. Ha sido realmente interesante leer esta novela corta y va a tener una repercusión en la saga principal bastante importante, espero. Lift, como ella misma diría, es maravillosa. Poco más hay que añadir salvo quizá la sonrisa que me saca este personaje continuamente.

Well, this was a rather short read and reminds of 'The slow regard of silent things' of Rothfuss: You are waiting for a new book, discover this intermezoo about a weirdo and read stuff about a weirdo. Anyway, I enjoyed reading his book, although Lift is kind of annoying and well, childish. Still, what I really like is how different every Radiant order, Spren and people drawn to a special order are. I am not sure how his Oath worked and I'd like to know, if the Spren know the exact words one has to say to reach an Ideal.
