Das Buch hatte im Mittelteil seine Längen, in denen ich mich etwas "zwingen" musste weiterzulesen. Gegen Ende hat sich dann wieder mehr Spannung aufgebaut, wo ich gerne weitergelesen habe. Den Kampf an sich haber ich gut gemacht gefunden, jedoch war mir die Lösung dann doch etwas zu einfach. Die Liebesgeschichten haben sich nochmals ganz anders entwickelt als erwartet.

DNF I lost interest about halfway through, unfortunately. I really wanted to finish it but I could tell she wasn't going to end up with the person I wanted her to end up with and the story was headed in a direction I just wasn't interested in pushing through. I really liked the other books in this trilogy so maybe one day I'll give this another go but not any time soon.

Mir hat das Buch insgesamt gut gefallen und ich halte es für einen gelungenen Abschluss der Reihe. Die Handlung ist weiterhin spannend, interessant und es wird zu keinem Zeitpunkt langweilig. Auch die Charaktere und ihre Beziehungen untereinander sind interessant und haben sich weiterentwickelt. Nach wie vor mag ich besonders die weiblichen Charaktere sehr gerne, da diese wirklich stark und mutig sind. Der ein oder andere männliche Charakter bleibt hingegen eher etwas blass. Durch den Perspektivwechsel konnte ich aber auch die Handlungen der einzelnen Charaktere größtenteils. Ich kann das Buch bzw. die gesamte Reihe auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Amazing end to this trilogy!!! I already loved the first book and the second was even better ... so I was kinda afraid of the third one cause I already had so many books where the third one destroyed the whole series for me. There were some parts in it, where I just wanted to get into the book and scream at all of them

Solid ending to this trilogy! I have to admit that this book had me on the edge of my seat multiple times while reading it. I was screaming (not really out loud, but internally) at the characters and I was praying for things to turn out the way I wanted them to (and luckily, they did!).

Lia made it. She survived Venda, survived the Komizar and now wants nothing more than to rush home and warn her people of the threat that is looming. It is a dangerous flee out of Venda, even more dangerous through the whole Cam Lanteaux and when she and Rafe finally made it to the kingdom of Dalbreck everything changes. She is torn between the man she loves, the kingdom she has a duty to and the gift, that is sure as daylight showing her the looming threat that is the army of the Komizar. She has to decide which way to go now, as she knows she has to sacrifice one of these things to root the traitors in the lines of Morrighan out, to regain control over her kingdom and to defeat the Komizar once and for all. This book was the perfect ending for the trilogy. The characters were written to perfection, I had a feeling I’ve known them forever. Their emotions and behavior were reliable, understandable and it took a toll on me, watching them make their decisions – not for them, but for the people they love, for their kingdoms, for the future of everybody. Rafe and Lias needs always coming last. It tore through me when duty and the kingdoms got in their way, the love story I was anticipating not playing out the way I thought it would. It was heartbreaking and I felt for them deeply. The conclusions in this book were great. Everything came together and made perfect sense, the ancient texts, the gift, the way the universe works in this world – it was a perfect ending. One of the things I liked most about this whole series were the different POVs of the main characters, I love seeing characters out of the eyes of another, it gives way more insight to not only them, but to the whole story that is playing out. The snippets of the ancient texts, that became so important to these books in front of every chapter were amazing again – they brought so much more power and meaning to these books. But what I loved most about this trilogy is Lia. She went from a girl that ran away from a forced wedding to an empowered, liberated and confident woman. She had to learn the hard way what is right and what is wrong. The world, events and people shaped her, pushed her and formed her. Lia found her voice, she fought for her rights, for what she knew was right, took her kingdom back and showed everyone that a woman can make her own decisions and is just as capable of anything as a man. She led an army into battle, she rules over a kingdom, she saved thousands of lives – because she listened to the voice within her. Not to men, who were mansplaining and trying to undermine her. She defiled the traitors in her own ranks, made amends with her past and showed everyone what you can achieve if you put your mind to it. Mary E. Pearson wrote a beautiful role model with Lia. Every woman should feel empowered by her. This is a clear message. You are a woman, you are strong and you can do whatever you want to do. Don’t let anybody tell you what to do or not to do, what to say or not to say, who to be or not to be. This Trilogy tells us a Story of 3 very important, powerful Women: Venda, Gaudrel and Morrighan. Their history is the foundation on which this beautiful world is built. And in this world the next generation of women spin the wheel further: Lia, Pauline, Gwyneth, Berdi, Natiya and all of the other women in this book show us how strong we can be. I love that this is a story of the empowerment of a young woman, who is finding her way in a dark world and making it a better place for everybody. I don’t mean to miss the men in this story. They were awesome, and especially in the third book their character development was magnificent. Sometimes I wish I had a Kaden and a Rafe by my side too. When you have strong people backing you, who support you and believe in you it seems you can do anything – there are no limits to your doing.

3,5 Sterne, die ich mangels halbem Stern auf vier aufrunde ... Nachdem dieser letzte Teil ja im Deutschen geteilt wurde, wollte ich nicht mehr warten und habe die zweite Hälfte auf Englisch gelesen. Kann ich übrigens empfehlen, man kommt relativ schnell rein und fliegt dann recht schnell durch die Seiten :). Wenn ich diesen letzten Teil als gesamte Einheit bewerten soll, muss ich leider sagen, dass ich ihn im Vergleich zu den Vorgängern eher durchwachsen finde. Die erste Hälfte dieses dritten Teils sah in meinen Augen einen Rückschritt bei Lias Entwicklung (Ich dachte eigentlich, dass sie dank ihrer Erlebnisse in Band 2 schon über die Phase "kindischer Trotzkopf" hinaus sein sollte), sympathischer wurde sie mir erst wieder in der zweiten Hälfte, als es darum ging, Morrighan zu retten. Überhaupt ist die zweite Hälfte deutlich action-lastiger als die erste, es gab hier einige wirklich tolle Szenen, die wirklich ein Genuss waren. Auf der anderen Seite waren viele Passagen doch vorhersehbar ... Es schwankte für mich also zwischen toll und solala. Wer übrigens drauf hofft, endlich im letzten Teil mehr über die Gabe zu erfahren, den muss ich enttäuschen: Hier konzentriert sich die Autorin hauptsächlich darauf, die Geschichte zum Abschluss zu bringen.
