The Winternight trilogy is among my top 5 fantasy series of all time and these books are perfect for winter. I love the setting, the magic, the characters, and, most importantly, the main character Vasya. She's one of the best female leads and probably my favorite witch ranking just behind Hermione Granger. Morozko the frost demon is the perfect love interest and the slow-burn in the series is just "chef's kiss". If you haven't read them, or didn't like the first installment The bear and the nightingale, I urge you to give it another shot. The second book really gets the plot moving, with some new conflict and drama and this last book in the series is a wonderful finale.
