I'm so glad I picked this up. I thought this was "just" another YA novel about coming to terms with being different, but it's so much more than that. It's a tale of love, family and fitting in. A great romance that made me feel so many emotions. It reminded me that I too tend to, not stare necessarily, but look at super tall, super skinny, super anything people and how annoying that must be over time. It also (and I know I say this about every other book I read) hit me on a very personal level. So personal in fact that I had a life-changing realisation about my own family during one particular scene. However, I do have some small issues with the story: I don't like when you can see a conflict coming a mile ahead. You know which one I mean. The obvious, unavoidable one. I was waiting for it to happen already so we could progress from there. Everything resolved a bit too easily in the end. That left me with many happy feelings, but it wrapping up perfectly is a tad unrealistic. Life rarely works out that way. Still, I enjoyed this much more that I thought I would and will keep thinking about it for some time to come.
