There were parts in there that I liked, but as a whole, I had to claw myself from page to page and if not for the incredible support of my Buddies Sarah and Leen, I would have quit after Chapter 2. The story is messy, there are many parts that have no consequence for the plot and your constantly WTFing. Also, the Jinni in this book were not consistent enough in their peronality/abilitiy/lore. Just... no. Felt like someone telling 1001 Nights-stories wanted to hop onto the MCU/superhero-craze. Did not work for me AT ALL. Plus: Being forcefed interpretations of what I'm reading throughout is not sexy.
