Oh, how much of a punch can a short story like this unpack? In this case, it's a lot. I loved the world-building, the story-elements inspired by chinese culture and mythology and the brilliant, brilliant structure. I wished I had much more, but I am happy how this one ended. And yes, J.Y. Yang is on my radar now!
