Although this is a children's book I still immensely enjoyed it. Who would have thought? The story isn't just about a child, it is also written in a style intended for children. So if you are looking for something along the lines of the beginning of The Name of the Wind, you wont find it here, even though the hero/heroine are roughly the same age. But this style fit the overall feeling of the book, so it didnt leave a negative impression with me. I just hope that the author manages to adapt her style to the increasing age of the heroine in future books...
