Besides the amazing plot and writing itself, I appreciated the focus on strong female characters: Sloane, Athena, Rosemary, Emmy, Brianna, Doris (and certainly NOT Madelyn)... At the end, it was they who exited the battlefield with their heads held high, celebrating life on a sunny day in Greece. Anyway, did I see the plot twist coming a tiny, teeny bit? Yes. Did I fear that it would follow a similar pattern as The Last Mrs. Parrish or The Houswife (which it didn't, by the way)? Yes. Was I still doubting everybody and everything? Absolutely! This overshadowing uncertainty was exactly what I needed and had me turning the pages in no time.
