I loved this book so much. It was EXACTLY what I needed. I didn't have the biggest expectations, because "the kiss quotient" didn't quite live up to the hype for me. But this book exceeded everything. No it wasn't the most refined piece of literature, but it checked all the boxes for me. Two totally lovable MCs, a sweet and heart wrenching storyline and the right amount of comedic relief. The only thing I could do was fall for Esme and Khai. Esme who was so loving and strong willed. Some people might not like her, but to me she is perfect. She is so willing to understand Khai and approaches him with understanding and eagerness. Khai is the softest. I loved the autism rep in this and as far as I can tell it was done really well. Khai was such a three dimensional character, that had so much to love about him. The author made sure we understood him and his thought process. The way he cared for Esme, I can't even. All the little and big moments between them made me squeal and my heart melt. Her cutting his hair, him checking up on her because the wasn't home yet, the FORCED-PROXIMITY, the tension. I loved it. Their relationship was so pure. Sure there is stuff to nitpick at, but if you take it at face value it's such a good time. On a side note, I love how both of them had their own thing going on. They weren't just the love interests in a romance book, but they had struggles and lives to take care of. Circumstances weren't just there for the plot. Esme gets to explore her opportunities in life and who she wanted to be in the future. I feel like we can learn a lot from both of them. Khai having autism made for a different love-story but it didn't hinder anything. Like the moment he thought her how to touch him felt so intimate and tender. Basically the autism added a new layer to the story that was very interesting to read about and made certain moments a lot more meaningful. If you're looking for a soft, butterfly inducing love-story between two sweet MCs, this is the book for you. The side characters were great in this and the goddarn QUOTES. I could read another 300 pages just of Khai and Esme being together and learning from one another.

Tolles Buch 🥹🇻🇳 🧑🏻‍🏫👰🏻‍♀️🏫

The Kiss Quotient was one of my favorite reads for 2018. When I learnt there would be a second book I knew I had to get my hands on it. I must admit I was wary to start it because I feared the author might not deliver as she did the first time. My fears were for naught as she delivered a story that took me on a journey that stirred my emotions and left me breathless and hankering for more. It is said that mothers know what is best for their children. The Bride Test by Helen Hoang illustrated the phrase well. In this installment of The Kiss Quotient series, we meet Khai and Esme. Now Khai is not typical of the heroes you generally find in romance novels because of his autism. He does not process feelings the same way other people do. As a result, he feels he is defective and not capable of loving anyone. His family does not agree with him and his mom sets out on a matchmaking journey to Vietnam to find the perfect girl for him. What follows is a stream of emotional moments that had me laughing, crying, and wanting to shake sense into the characters. I found Esmie and Khai to be great characters. They both faced challenges, which they fought to overcome. Esme is one of those characters you start of not being too fond of, but as the story progresses, you cannot help but admire her strength and determination. Her desire for a better life for her daughter drove her success. She proved that whatever your mind conceives you can achieve. I loved watching Khai’s development throughout the story. He was such a sweet and caring guy opposite of what he believed himself to be. I believed Esmie and Khai, made a wonderful couple. Esme worked at trying to make Kai happy, but due to her ignorance about autism, she had a hard time understanding his needs. Kai’s embracing the idea of a relationship with Esme was a funny yet heartwarming moment. Watching him navigate the complexities of said relationship made for a compelling read. I loved the secondary characters, with my favorite being Quan, Kai’s older brother. He stood by his brother. I loved the tactic he used to convince Khai that he was in love. It was so much fun. My only problem with the story was the secrets/lies on Esme’s part, but it did not hinder my enjoyment, and it did not create any unnecessary drama. Narration I listened to the audio book, and I loved the narration I thought Emily Woo Zeller did an excellent job with the character voices. I loved the accents, which helped to bring a authentic feel to the story. Conclusion/Recommendation Overall, this was a sweet, fun and passionate story, which featured relatable characters. If you have not read this yet, I recommend you do so as soon as possible

Helped me out of a ridiculous reading slump where I couldn’t finish one simple book. I liked it more then the first one and I really want to read the third one now. Even tho I didn’t like Esme as a Character that much I found her inspiring in the end. She was determined to reach her goal and always got back on her feet. That alone made up for some of her antics.

This book started out so strong for me, I loved the characters and the plot equally and I was genuinely having a really good time reading it. The second half, however, fell a bit flat for me since it felt a bit repetitive and some miscommunication which was the center of the plot simply annoyed me. Nevertheless, I did enjoy the writing a lot, and will definitely pick up everything else this author writes in the future!
