I’ve loved it! 😍 I’ve loved this book from page 1. The first few sentences captivated me. Hannah has made me fall in love with her from the very beginning. The characters, the setting and the story are so amazing and thought through. I cannot describe how comfortable this book made me feel and how I felt a part of their life. When Morgan was introduced, I immediately fell in love with her. Her character is so cool! And their love story gave me butterflies! 🦋 This book is for everyone who loves witches and cute lesbian love stories as much as I do! 🤭
I mean it’s queer high school witches. What more could you want?
Wirklich spannend!
Das Buch beginnt wie eine Hexen -Highschool Romance, wird aber sehr schnell sehr spannend. Die Charaktere sind super sympathisch!
I really loved the strong, female main characters. The mix of queerness and witchcraft was also fun to read. The plot twists were surprising as well and I did not expect how serious the plot would develop. I‘m excited for part II!
I had a lot of fun reading this book. All the relationships in this book felt realistic and were relatable. I loved the big cast of characters and how all of them were important in different ways. The romance was so sweet. The magic and plot were captivating and I can't wait to read what's to come for these girls in the future!
Why am I always getting out of a reading slump in the middle of night when I have school/work on the next day?! Anyway, I’m so glad I finished this book and I absolutely loved this. The characters, the plot, the small town vibes, the romance, everything. I don’t think I have anything negative to say about this book, it was suspenseful all the way through and after I reached the second half of this book I could and would simply not put it down. The only think that kinda disappointed me was that it seems that the next book isn’t from Hannah’s perspective anymore, which made a bit disappointed because I don’t feel like Hannah’s (and Morgan’s) story isn’t finished yet. (And I also don’t wanna read about New York, I wanna read more of those small witch town vibes please) I think I loved this book so much because it reminded me a lot of ,,The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina“, which also takes place and Salem and the vibes are just really similar.
Main couple very cute
It's a really catching story. Witchy, love mixed with suspense. But it leaves quite a lot of unanswered questions and the start was a bit confusing because I didn't know that there was a volume before this book.
This was so good! Why did I put this off for so long?
Loved this book. There's so many casually queer characters around. And it's not a big deal, it's just normal, love it. Aside from the obvious queer plus, it's also a really good story and setup for more to come. So I'm very excited to see what happens next in the sequel. I gave it only four stars, cause there was a point where the main character irritated me with her decision making... Hannah finds out who's hunting down her family and her coven. And instead of calling or even texting anyone else to let them know she races headfirst into the trouble. And basically risks getting killed without sharing this knowledge with anyone else and endangering them even further? I mean obviously it worked out, but it also could've ended with a lot more deaths cause she didn't deem it necessary to warn anyone else... Maybe it was supposed to be a heat of the moment thing for the character? But as a reader I got a little annoyed by the trope that the main character has to do everything by themselves. And only got saved by chance cause the detective was calling her at the right time.
Mega coole Hexengeschichte mit queeren Charakteren und einer spannenden Handlung. Englisch ist super leicht zu verstehen und lässt sich schnell weglesen. Ich freue mich auf den 2. Band!
Hannah is a witch, but not the kind you're thinking of. She's the real deal, an Elemental with the power to control fire, earth, water, and air. But even though she lives in Salem, Massachusetts, her magic is a secret she has to keep to herself. If she's ever caught using it in front of a Reg (read: non-witch), she could lose it. For good. So, Hannah spends most of her time avoiding her ex-girlfriend (and fellow Elemental Witch) Veronica, hanging out with her best friend, and working at the Fly by Night Cauldron selling candles and crystals to tourists, goths, and local Wiccans. But dealing with her ex is the least of Hannah's concerns when a terrifying blood ritual interrupts the end-of-school-year bonfire. Evidence of dark magic begins to appear all over Salem, and Hannah's sure it's the work of a deadly Blood Witch. The issue is, her coven is less than convinced, forcing Hannah to team up with the last person she wants to see: Veronica. While the pair attempt to smoke out the Blood Witch at a house party, Hannah meets Morgan, a cute new ballerina in town. But trying to date amid a supernatural crisis is easier said than done, and Hannah will have to test the limits of her power if she's going to save her coven and get the girl, especially when the attacks on Salem's witches become deadlier by the day. I've laughed, I've cried, I put every kind of feelings into every sentence, I've read. Hannah and Morgan did it and got into my top 10 of OTPs. I recommand the book to everybody who loves a good fantasy story about Queer witches. I gave the Book for a good reason 5 stars, i barely have any emotiones when I read a book but like I already mentioned THIS book got all emotiones and I can't wait for the Sequel.
Ich hab echt nicht damit gerechnet das mir das Buch so gut gefällt! Es ist ein klassisches Teenie Buch aber so gut geschrieben
I thought the book was great. It has as much of a witchy flair as the cover makes it seem.
I loved that you didn't have that typical coming out story, but you were confronted with the ex right away. I loved how she kept getting into it with the ex. I also loved that she has a best friend who always stands by her. That added a lot to the story in my opinion. The new crush was also set up so well. In general, the pace was great throughout the book. This is probably one of the first books I would have liked to have been longer. The ending could have easily had 50 more pages for me.
