once again i have to say that this is very game of thrones like but in a ya edition…this book was 480 pages of war and suffering which made sense in the storyline but made it so hard to read i feel like we could have made it a bit shorter or cut the way to the solution a 100 pages shorter and please tell me why does my girl helene have to suffer so much…avitas harper???¿ that was NOT NECESSARY i loved how the whole elias soul catcher thing wad resolved and the ending itself was nice as well but i gotta say that out of all four of the books this was ,,the worst,, one still would recommend the series 100%

Listen. I love it when the author actually commits and kills some characters But can you please GIVE HELENE A FUCKING BREAK :'( Idk I somehow think that the last 2 books had too many losses and defeats for me to actually enjoy the wins and happy times :/ There were some other problems I had with this book though: deus ex machina, mary sue-ish characters, some not so great character development, stuff that was never really mentioned before suddenly appearing in this book... On a happier note: I LOVED the writing in this series :D I also really like the Nightbringer as a villain!

Die Geschichte von Elias und Laia geht zu Ende. Trotz aller Verluste lehrt sie uns, dass es immer Hoffnung gibt, auch wenn uns die Karten die uns ausgeteilt werden nicht gefallen. Leben heißt mit ihnen umgehen zu lernen. Ich habe die Bücher auf Englisch gelesen. Dem Schreibstil fehlt meiner Meinung nach das gewisse Etwas, um das Buch wirklich zu verschlingen. Nichtsdestotrotz hat sich das durchhalten gelohnt, da die Geschichte an sich sehr schön war und ich wissen wollte, wie sie zu Ende geht.

Zu diesem Buch finde ich es gar nicht so einfach, eine Rezi zu schreiben. Die Reihe mochte ich im Grunde sehr. Nichts war gewiss, man fühlte mit den Protagonisten mit und es gab viele Überraschungen und Wendungen, die jeden einzelnen Band für sich mit Spannung füllten. So war es letztendlich auch mit dem Reihenabschluss. Ich fieberte mit und war sehr gespannt darauf, wie die Geschichte wohl enden würde. Auf der einen Seite hat mich das Buch wieder begeistert und ich könnte mich in einigen Punkten zu den vorherigen Teilen wiederholen. Eine wirklich wahnsinns Geschichte, die sich deutlich von den üblichen YA Fantasy Romanen heraushebt. Wenn ich alleine die Entwicklung von Helene von Band 1 zu Band 4 betrachte, komme ich schon ins Schwärmen. Was sie alles durchmachte, wie oft sie zerbracht um danach nochmal stärker zu sein. Das war absolut eines der Highlights. Es gab nur leider einige Punkte, die mir letztendlich bei der Begeisterung einen Dämpfer verpassten. Während sich einige Charaktere weiter entwickelten, empfand ich Laia mit der Zeit richtig nervig. Sie traf immer wieder ziemlich dämliche Entscheidungen und handelte auch weiterhin immer wieder unbedacht. Und ohne groß ins Detail zu gehen, empfand ich am Ende die Art und Weise, wie der ganze Konflikt und Krieg letztendlich gelöst wurde, zu schnell und einfach. Auch der eine oder andere Tod von manchen Charakteren war bei den ganzen Verlusten irgendwie unnötig. Die gewohnten "Schock-Momente" haben zudem in diesem Buch abgenommen. Vieles lief einfach deutlich glatter ab, als in den bisherigen Bänden. Die Luft schien ein wenig raus zu sein. Nichtsdestotrotz gehört diese Reihe auch weiterhin zu meinen Highlights. Schreibstil, Ideen, Setting, Spannung, etc. machten diese für mich zu etwas Besonderem. Der Abschlussband mag zwar seine Schwächen haben, ist aber trotzdem absolut lesenswert.

Unquestionably one of the best conclusions to am amazing series, and the best book the end my reading year on! These characters have suffered so much, and I might have cried a little a few times, but this conclusion is all I had hoped for! The series as a whole is one of my most favorite of all time, and it's one of those series where every single book is a masterpiece. The conclusion, however, intimidated me a little because the stakes set up in the first three books were really high, but this was the perfect resolution! Everyone needs to read this series!!

I finished this book yesterday, but I wasn't able to find any words for this. Honestly that didn't change. But I'll give it a try. This was my most anticipated book of the year. And it didn't disappoint. It was even better than my highest expectations. This is the breath-taking finale of a series I love with my whole heart. Laia, Elias, Helene and all the other great characters have a place in my heart forever. I can't say much without spoiling the content, but we get everything from love to action to sorrow. It was an emotional roller-coaster. Especially toward the end I needed to take breaks because I was sobbing so hard and I'm not the least ashamed of it. Sabaa has a way of writing that is so beautiful, she definetly is a Kehanni. The end is so beautifully written that it felt like a comforting hug after all that we've been through. This is a story about love, hope, strength, family and so much more. I can't believe it has come to an end. But I know that I can go back whenever I wish, and the fact that my father (75 years old) read the books after I recommended them to him and loved them too makes this series even more special to me. And I really hope it won't take to long until the german edition releases, so I can buy it for him and we can talk about this amazing finale. I read An Ember in the Ashes when I was in hospital, and at a very low point in my life and I found so much strength and hope and joy in it. This continued throughout the series and I'm very very grateful for that. It's a reminder why books are so very important and more than "just stories". If you haven't started the series yet, I beg you to do. It's amazing. If you're about to start A Sky Beyond the Storm, have some tissues ready and I hope you'll enjoy this book as much as I did!
