Better than the last one! I got hooked up from the first page till the last. Really enjoyed the book! Finally Robert Langdon is back! And he's at his best! And i kinda sympathize with Zobrist. If you look at the world today he might be right..and the world will change again. But it doesn't need the help of a crazy insane genius! Mankind is capable to do it on its own! This book made me wanna read "la divina commedia" again...it's been ages since I last read it! Will now read it again! And read more between the lines :)

4,5 Sterne Also zuerst zum Positiven. Man merkt wirklich wie gut das Buch recherchiert ist sowohl wissenschaftliche als auch die historischen Hintergründe. Außerdem sind die Orte wie Kirchen, Museen und Kunstwerke wirklich anschaulich beschrieben. Bei Dan Brown Büchern mekt man wirklich extrem wie dermaßen der autor sich mit den Themen auseinander gestzt hat und das zeichnet seine Bücher auch aus. Es war außerdem sehr spannend und regt meiner Meinung nach sehr zum Nachdenken an,was vielleicht auch daran liegt, dass ich über das behandelte Thema selbst schon Gedanken gemacht weswegen ich das auch sehr interssant ist. Obwohl ich mich in diversen Bereichen, vorallem in den naturwissenschaftlichen, nicht so gut auskenne war es meiner Meinung nach sehr verständlich. Es ist wirklich schön wie sich alles nach und nach zu einem sinnvollen Bild entwickelt und man alles nachvollziehen kann. Auch die Wendungen des Romans habe ich nicht so kommen sehen weswgen diese auch sehr überraschend aber auch passend waren. Das einzige andere Dan Brown Buch, das ich gelesen habe, ist Illuminati und Sakrileg habe ich als Film gesehen. Meiner Meinung nach sieht man durchaus Prallelen bei den Büchern bzw. Filmen wie zum Beispiel die ,,Bösen". Das ist natürlich sehr subjektiv aber um Spoiler zu vermeiden nenne und begründe ich es nicht näher. Aber trotzdem sind es nicht die Art von Parallelen, die das Buch großartig vorraussagen. Ich habe an sich einen Punkt abgezogen, auch wenn man das oben bei den sternen nicht sieht, weil ich eine Weile gebraucht habe bis ich es spannend und interessant gefunden habe. Aber wenn man einmal drin ist, dann ist es wirklich sehr interessant. Ich kanne es jedem empfehlen, der die beisherigen Bücher bzw. Filme gut fand und sich für die Themen interessiert, die in den Robert Landgdon Büchern auftauchen.

Ugh. That's everything that comes to my mind when I think of this book. The cover is beautiful, the mystery somehow keeps you turning the pages ... and that's about all I can say about this book if I try to stay positive. Dan Brown definitely wasn't able to keep up the level after Angels & Demons and the Da Vinci Code.

Hatte mit dem Hörbuch ne gute Zeit, das Buch war mir zu langatmig. Dabei lieb ich so Rätselkram eigentlich sehr, aber hier war doch viel gewollt und aus den Fingern gezogen und nicht mehr so Brainbash-mäßig wie die ersten beiden. Generell eher wie ein geschriebener/gesprochener Film als ein Buch.

This classic Dan Brown story takes you to beautiful Florence and lets you feel like actually being there while reading! Dan Brown kept his typical detailed writing style and in spite of the fact that the way he is telling his stories did not change (Robert Langdon has to solve loads of mysteries in order to save the world while being hunted by the enemy...), he always manages to fascinate me with his well researched story. It is incredible how he incorporates existing historical buildings as well as other works of arts into his tale so that you as a reader actually believe in it!!! This book is certainly worth a read if you loved the other Dan Brown novels!!!
