Seth Hubbard hangs himself from a Sycamore tree and leaves almost everything behind to his black housekeeper. Why does he make this series of decisions? Well, we find out from reading until the end, but be warned, you have a long way to get there. I'm not annoyed by the book's length as much as its pacing. Obviously, there are times where you need to stretch things out. But in this case, everything came speeding at the end, which made it intriguing, but the marathon may have been more worth it if the mad dash were more spread out.
