Brie hates the Fae and refuses to have anything to do with them, even if that means starving on the street. But when her sister is sold to the sadistic king of the Unseelie court to pay a debt, she'll do whatever it takes to get her back—including making a deal with the king himself to steal three magical relics from the Seelie court. Gaining unfettered access to the Seelie court is easier said than done. Brie's only choice is to pose as a potential bride for Prince Ronan, and she soon finds herself falling for him. Unwilling to let her heart distract her, she accepts help from a band of Unseelie misfits with their own secret agenda. As Brie spends time with their mysterious leader, Finn, she struggles to resist his seductive charm. Caught between two dangerous courts, Brie must decide who to trust with her loyalty. And with her heart.
Omfg… !!!! I had a feeling I would like this book very much but I didn’t expect to like it THIS MUCH😫. This review is going to have spoilers‼️. First of all, the word-building and the writing style absolutely ate. The Cover is MAJESTIC, I’m literally so in love with it. This book is a love triangle and it’s honestly my first time reading a love triangle. First we have Brie, a 17-year old human who’s main mission this book was just to save her 14-year old sister that got taken away from her because they had a big debt. Then we have Sebastian, Bries crush for 2 years since they know each other from Fairscape (where Brie and Jas lived), turns out Sebastian is actually Prince Ronan aka a Fae. Finnian, the mysterious leader of the misfit Faes, is also an important character in the book. I don’t even want to start explaining the whole plot and lore and retell the book because it is honestly so crazy how everything has come together in the end that you need to read it for yourself!! This book contained Scheming and betrayals, lies and manipulation, angst, romance, tension and some smut, good characters and so much more😫. The second book is going to be crazy filled with revenge because in the end, both Finnian and Sebastian betrayed her. I’m excited to read it and how the story continues🫣. As I already said, it was so crazy how everything came together, why Brie and Jas mother 'abandoned' them when in reality she sold herself to save her, how Brie had the crown all along because Oberon (the formerly king of the Unseelie court that fell in love with their mother), how jealous Queen Arya (Sebastian’s mother aka Oberons first love) was because of the human Oberon chose to love over her and that human turned out to be THEIR MOTHER!, how Finnian and Sebastian both tried to manipulate Brie at the same time so she would bond with one of them so they can get the crown, why Sebastian and Brie met exactly two years earlier, how Finnian wanted to 'help' her etc. , how she was also manipulated by King Mordeus (Finns Uncle). How Sebastian turned out to be both Unseelie and Seelie Royality so he knew Brie would need the potion of life (a potion that heals the human when they die but they will turn into a Fae and become immortal), because Bakken(one of the goblins) told her one time that when humans bond with an Unseelie, it’s a big chance they will die, but when you band with Seelie u don’t die …. I think you get the gist. SO MANY PLOT TWISTS FR😭. Would definitely recommend !!
