„There once was a girl,” he murmured, “clever and good, who tarried in shadow in the depths of the wood. There also was a King—a shepherd by his crook, who reigned over magic and wrote the old book. The two were together, so the two were the same: “The girl, the King… and the monster they became.“
This book was like a fairytale. But one of those darker ones. With hidden nightmares. Which have a tight grip on you and won’t ever let you go. Because it was so good 😍 the characters were deep and diverse and Rachel Gillig managed to capture all my attention to this amazing story in only 400 pages. I loved her style of writing and especially the poetry. It just made the book so much more special. Also the magic system was something completely new which was very enjoyable. But the very best thing here was the nightmare. Obviously. 🌙🐈⬛
