emily is ballsy and wendell a drama queen and i love them. this is a great review i know.
Emily’s last, but most exciting adventure yet🍄
I adore this story! It’s just the cutest, most whimsical little thing, while maintaining the sense of literature and poetry due to its fantastic writing! Her last adventure was the most exciting for me, out of the three books. It was a littler higher paced and kept me reading/listening for hours on end. The banter between Emily and Wendell is hilarious as well as the one happening between Orga and Taran🤭 The connecting to stories that we know and the ones in her folklore are amazing! An amazing end to a great trilogy 🫶🏼
I really enjoyed this read! 💖
I was extremely looking forward to this after reading the first two books of this series and it didn't disappoint. The whole plot was well-built with a surprising twist after what could have been the end. It held a nice balance between expectations and surprises, offering devastating lows and sweet highs for characters that I've come to love. I enjoy how this installment brings together all three books while uptaining a consistent, charming style. I'm way too fond of Wendell's antics. I really hope there'll be a fourth volume. There are hints peppered into the story for possibilities so... 🤞🏻Or at least I think there are. Either way, this story will forever live on in my heart.
After I surprisingly enjoyed “Map of the Otherlands”, I was excited for the conclusion of the Emily Wilde series, because I thought we are finally on the same page. Unfortunately for me, this book hit about as much as the first one, even though the plot itself was not bad. Not bad at all actually. I had similar issues with the story and how it progressed as well as with the writing. It was exhausting in some way? Slow in some parts, interesting in others. What I did enjoy, however, was the relationship between Emily and Wendell. Super cute! I also loved seeing all of the characters from book one and two making an appearance! I even have a new favourite character: Lord Taran! Final thoughts on the Emily Wilde series: I can definitely see the appeal and this is one of those series, where I can understand the higher and also the lower ratings. I will shelf this series as a potential reread, because I feel like we didn’t start off right and I didn’t give these books the mental attention they might need from me. Thank you Orbit for providing this book for review via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

This was another of my most anticipated reads. I adore the Emily Wilde books and their vibes so much, and it's a world I wanna live an and take Shadow for a walk. This conclusion of the trilogy is heavier in plot than its predecessors, and it brings everything to a really good ending with some good plot twists of high and low stakes.
It's got a bit of Cruel Prince vibes, which is fine, but to me it takes away from the Emily vibes a bit. I'd loved to have more of that very unique magic. I love the style of the academic diary and the snarky voice in it. I dig it and there's as lot of it in it. I especially love the passages when Emily gets a bit lost, entranced by the magic of faerie. I'm down for everything the author decides to write in the future. And I'd also love to read more about Emily and her world. 4/5 stars Thank you @netgalley and @littlebrownbookgroup_uk for the eARC! #EmilyWilde #Netgalley #Bookstagram
