The first chapter of this book is about the male lead’s past police work. It did not inspire me to want to continue reading this, if this is supposed to be a romance novel. It seems the author is starting the book with an incident from each of the two leads’ lives. The second chapter is a boring incident that involves the woman. These are wasted filler chapters. They do nothing to show that the book is about the two people being together. I hope the two people meet at some point, but I stopped reading at the start of chapter 2.
