Weird that this is considered part of the literary canon. Last chapter makes no sense at all. Why did I spend a nice Sunday afternoon reading this? Starting a new (and hopefully better) book right away. IMPORTANT: Since I couldn't find it on any trigger warning websites (weird...?!), I attempted to create a list myself - it probably isn't complete though! - violence - torture - rape - mental illness - attempted suicide graphic !!! Nobody should read this book. Remove it from the literary canon. There is literally nothing you can take away for yourself. Don't waste your time like I just did. I can't give 0 stars sadly. Edit: Also, the author invented an own kind of teenage slang, making it very difficult to read in the beginning. But the meanings can be figured out eventually.
