Even before starting this book I just knew that I was going to love Hyacinth‘s story and god, yes I really did. Hyacinth has always been one of my favorite Bridgertons and I loved how she always stood up for herself. She’s headstrong and so smart, simply incredible! Gareth is probably my favorite love interest in this entire series. I really enjoyed his banter with Hyacinth. What I really liked about their relationship is that they fell in love before they even got married to each other. »I am asking you to marry me because I love you, because I cannot imagine living my life without you. I want to see your face in the morning, and then at night, and a hundred times in between. I want to grow old with you, I want to laugh with you, and I want to sigh to my friends about how managing you are, all the while secretly knowing I am the luckiest man in town.« Even though their relationship evolved kind of fast it never felt like that while reading (at least for me). Their teasing and joking was so much fun to read. I absolutely fell in love with these two! Honorable mention: Lady Danbury aka the biggest Hyacinth and Gareth shipper on this planet. She‘s so funny and I really enjoyed the pieces we got of her. Her relationship with Hyacinth was so cute! »In my heart, I’ve been your grandmother for years. I’ve just been waiting for you to make it official.« The plot was also very enjoyable to me. I really liked the entire story about Isabella and the hidden jewels. It added so much fun and mystery to the book. 5/5 ⭐️ to my favorite Bridgerton couple!

Reread march 22- August 22: this is still my favourite bridgerton book & these two idiots are perfect for each other & their story means so much to me // To be fair this book wasn’t perfect and maybe under different circumstances it wouldn’t be a five star read. But I’ve been desperate for good romance for a romance that makes me feel something, that makes me ache for the protagonist and boy did this book deliver! Hyacinth and Gareth are all I want in a couple, their banter was everything, their chemistry perfection and you could really see them fall in love . Also I adored Gareth to bits. He was funny, smart, roguish and the perfect protagonist to fall in love with . His background story broke my heart and also made me shed a tear or two. And Hyacinth was just amazing. She was so smart, honest and had agency and gosh I loved her. Also Lady Danbury was the most amazing character and matchmaker and she is always a delight. Also the first half of this book was perfection and yes I fucking cried when these two idiots realised that they needed to marry each other because no one else would do and they are fucking soulmates!! I loved that Gareth wanted to do right by Hyacinth and do things right and then things started to go downhill ... One of Gareth’s action in the second half of the book is very questionable and could have ruined this book for me but amazingly it didn’t . Because it didn’t feel like a trap because hyacinth and Gareth are a damn delight and their chemistry is off the rocks. Do I like what he did ? No, not at all and I think this book could have gone without this plot point but it still kinda made this work which says something about my love for Hyacinth and Gareth. Also the little adventure plot was everything and so refreshing and I adored the second epilogue with hyacinth never giving up the search . So was this perfect ? NO!! But I adored everything and I feel in love with this couple and I just am really emotional Over them and crossing my fingers that somehow Hyacinths story will also make it to Netflix ?? But for now I think I am going to have to reread my favourite bits ...

"I am asking you to marry me because I love you,” he said, “because I cannot imagine living my life without you. I want to see your face in the morning, and then at night, and a hundred times in between. I want to grow old with you, I want to laugh with you, and I want to sigh to my friends about how managing you are, all the while secretly knowing I am the luckiest man in town.” This book was perfection in every way. I could not put it down. Don't know why, but I initially thought I wouldn't care too much about Hyacinth's story, because I found her kinda annoying in the previous books but I really enjoyed it and began to really love her character the more I got into the story. Also Lady Danbury was amazing in this one and really entertaining. Also I loved the little mystery in this one when they were searching for the hidden jewels and the question of who Gareth's father is. Their chemistry was amazing! Hyacinth really found her second half - her perfect match.
