I actually am mad at myself because I bought this book (mostly because of the pretty cover) without looking at the reviews. I tried. Tried very hard but I stopped over 100 pages in. Trying to read it actually gave me anxiety and made me angry. Firstly because there’s no editing at all. The writing style might work when it’s a short magazine article but certainly not when it’s a book with several 100 pages. Secondly, and most importantly, it’s dangerous. The “research” is all over the place. She “quotes” or rather name drops scientific evidence out of context. And already the first 100 pages, Wilson several times is like “I don’t care what scientists call it, here’s my very own theory and that’s the only thing that’s legit”. I could go on and on but many people have perfectly reviews this disaster of a book, so I’ll stop wasting any more time on it.
