It's very difficult to rate this book Some stories are better than others But I really loved the story about Evangeline, Cal and Mare after the last book! It really added to the overall storyline and gave some closure the last book was missing. I would give these stories 5 ⭐ Unfortunately the others aren't as good So I settled for 3.5 ⭐

Overall, this book gave me the closure that War Storm didn't give me. Extra Material/ maps: 3 ⭐️ nice to look at and teaches you about the story of the country. But could also be skipped. The most useful part of it was the timeline with the rulers, and the part where they repeat the Red Queen plot as part of a history book. I read the novellas about a year after finishing War Storm and it helped me to refresh my memory of the plot. Queen Song: 4 ⭐️ In the Red Queen series, we don't learn a lot about Queen Coriane. We know she is dead, but it all remains very mysterious. In Queen Song, we get a climpse into her diary when she was just a young girl, when she was just getting to know (King) Tiberias. And we finally find out what really happened to her. Steel Scars: 3 ⭐️ I didn't really care for this story that much tbh, I found it really hard to find out when it takes place. It's about Farley and Mare Barrow, and I don't even remember the plot anymore. World Behind: 2 ⭐️ We are being introduced to new characters that I didn't care about. I'm sorry but I just wanna read about the characters I grew to love and that deserved a better ending than War Storm!! Iron Heart: 4.5 ⭐️ My favorite novella of the collection. I love Evangeline. She is an amazing character and deserves everything. This novella is set after War Storm btw. "I shouldn't have to stand there and tell this world what I am. I should just be." Fire Light: 4 ⭐️ Another novella I was waiting for, as I finally got some closure of Mare and Cal, and it's obviously also set after War Storm. Fare Well: 3 ⭐️ This story focuses on Maven (and also Cal), and it was also definitely a story I needed to read to get closure.

Dieser Band hat mir genau das gegeben, was mir vom eigentlichen Abschlussband der Reihe gefehlt hat. Hier haben die Charaktere endlich ihr verdientes Ende gefunden und ich als Leser konnte mit der Geschichte abschließen. Den Anfang fand ich leider etwas schleppend. Das lag aber auch daran, dass ich gerade an den Perspektiven von anderen Charakteren interessiert war. Aber je weiter ich gelesen habe, desto besser wurde das Buch! Es hat mich sehr gefreut ein letztes Mal in das Universum von Victoria Aveyard zurückzukehren und werde die Bücher bestimmt noch einmal rereaden.
