I really liked this book! Like it says on the back. it reminded me a bit of the O.C. - only turn-of-the-century. Like watching a show on tv, The Luxe always kept me on the hook, wanting to find out what would happen next, who'd hook up with whom etc. Even though the book doesn't give us a deep in-view of how it was to live in 1900, it never failed to give enough details to actually make the setting believeable, be it dress-shopping or elaborate balls.
