After hearing mostly positive feedback, I seriously questioned my understanding of the story - there was nothing enlightening.
I hoped, there would be an AHA-effect but it seemed like the author could only compensate the predictable plot with an increasing amount of spirituality.
I was honestly happy when it was over.
This has been one of the best reads I’ve ever had. I smiled so often reading this. And every time I smiled I had to take a little break to think about what I just read. I was having goosebumps. I can’t wait to read it again!
Read it because it’s my dad’s favourite book and turned out to be one of my favourites too. I just love it. You can portrait it good on your life and take a lesson out of if. Worth reading!!!
"It's called the principle of favorability. When you play cards the first time, you are most sure to win. Beginner's luck."
"Why is that?"
"Because there is a force that wants you to realize your destiny; it whets your appetite with a taste of succes."

it's not about pursuing ur dreams, it's about pursuing your intuition. this book made me understand what time and season does in their own assigned periods. and broadened my perspective on how the universe actually works.
I listened to the audio book of this one and the narrator just had such a calming voice. All throughout the book it gave me this feeling of warmth and comfort.
There were definitely manny lessons to learn from this book. I enjoyed it a lot and I can absolutely recommend it!
My expectations were pretty high because it is said to be live changing.
I think it was just ok.
A story about a shepherd who dreams about a great treasure. He meets a king who says to follow his dream. He abandons everything and leaves to find this treasure because it is his "personal legend". Bad things happen to him but he trusts the universe and in good omens.
A bit philosophical but nothing above the "just follow your dreams" and "trust in the universe".
You can let yourself immerse into it and get a bit of trust and safety out of it, for sure. But definitely not live changing.

Genuinly speaking this book is one of those books for me that I will not feel any disappointment when reading even if it's the 100th time. I borrowed this from a friend and its perfection in a book. the adventure, the thoughts everything was just amazing.
I love this book so much i just love this piece. The travel n the inspiration n the spirituality combines in one. This is a book worth of time n read. Just love n love n love:-)<3^o^

Ich mein. Idk.
Reminds me of The Why Café. Really basic message in an excessive, over-the-top story. Mixes spirituality and religion and conveys a really rigid view of life: you have a destined way of living, if you don't follow that pre-determined way, you will be unhappy and a coward and anxious? I find that to be a very self-centered and unrealistic view on life.
Apart from that, it seems like female characters are not included in this "personal legend" view of life, as they only seem to be a part of the story to serve the men. Only giving this 2* because I got through it in one day.
I love this book so much i just love this piece. The travel n the inspiration n the spirituality combines in one. This is a book worth of time n read. Just love n love n love:-)<3^o^
This book might have spoken to me 5 years ago when I was a little more naive than I am now. I have a feeling that it resonates with the stereotype of "white, wealthy, religious (probably Christian) girls" than are 'woke' and have their life figured out at 16.
The writing itself was fine, very simple and easy to read, but so repetitive. I felt like reading this book was a chore to read.
Maybe I've just gotten bitter, like the book says some people are, but it really just wasn't what I expected it to be.
And maybe I am just unable to understand due to my lack of faith and belief. All in all I can understand why it is regarded as a 'modern classic', it simply wasn't for me.
