Christmas with the Rodríguez family: loud, chaotic, and possibly life-threatening. Between flying gifts and emotional moments, this holiday is anything but peaceful. If you love family chaos with a dark romance twist, this will absolutely steal your heart.
Mr. & Mrs. Rodríguez - Christmas Edition gives us a nostalgic (and slightly dangerous) trip back in time, 18 years before the main series, where the Rodríguez family celebrates Christmas the only way they know how: loudly, chaotically, and with a mild risk of injury. At the center is Evelyn Rodríguez, who genuinely believes she can create a warm, magical holiday atmosphere… despite having eleven children running around like caffeinated tornadoes. Carlos, her husband and resident mafia boss, tries to maintain order, which is adorable because that is clearly not happening. The novella focuses less on plot and more on family dynamics, introducing younger versions of characters (including a small, chaotic Alejandro), giving readers a deeper emotional connection to the series. Now, my 4-star opinion: this book is pure chaotic comfort. It doesn’t have a complex plot (it’s basically “survive Christmas”), but that’s not the point. It’s about vibes, family, and emotional attachment. Is it dramatic? Yes. Is it slightly ridiculous? Also yes. Did I love every second of the chaos? Absolutely. It’s like a Hallmark Christmas movie… but with mafia energy and significantly more yelling.
