I really enjoyed this book. At times it felt a little slow, but most of the time it was exciting, and in the end we finally discover who was behind everything. I liked Arabella a lot, although in the beginning she seemed very naïve when it came to her awful father. She always stood up for him, which I couldn’t understand, since he didn’t care about her at all—yet she kept asking if he was okay. After a while, that became quite annoying. Sebastian, the dark male main character, was great. I especially liked that he was French, which felt refreshing, because in books like this the MMC is usually Italian or Russian. That definitely made him stand out for me. One thing I wished for, though, was that all of the French sentences had been translated—since they weren’t always, and I don’t speak French. Overall, I really liked the book. Sometimes I felt the grammar was a bit off, which made parts of it confusing to read. The spice was fine, but I would have preferred it to be a little more detailed.
