Would you spend Christmas with your ex and his family in a cozy holiday home in the snow-capped Scottish Highlands? It’s the last place Mel imagined spending the holidays. But her ex Finn, who made a break-up at his sister’s engagement party about six months ago, unexpectedly stands at her door, with an unusual request. Mel agrees on one condition: this time can Mel drop Finn in front of his family at the end of the week and show him how it feels.
My third Christmas book about second chance romance this Xmas season…not sure what it’s tell about me ;-) Emily Stone is a true Christmas queen. With her, the Christmas mood is never neglected. I already liked “Always in December” very much, but reading her latest book “Yours for the season” in English was a lot better. She has so many great ideas. I mean, who doesn’t want to go ice skating in a Winter Wonderland in the Highlands or rally through the snowy forest? Okay, of course you need a great family like Finn’s. Especially his mother I took directly to heart. She makes Christmas just picture-perfect. I like the successful division of the book into two POVs: past and present. Or in first get to know each other until the climax of the separation and in a fake love game until the previously agreed separation. Or is it completely different? It doesn’t get boring. “Yours for the season” is a perfect read for the Christmas season nothing to worry about. Just sit down with a hot beverages and enjoy the story.
