Eigentlich wollte ich die Reihe nach Pucking Wild abbrechen. Der zweite Band konnte mich nach dem chaotischen aber mitreissenden ersten Buch leider nicht ganz überzeugen. Umso glücklicher bin ich, dass ich Pucking Sweet trotzdem eine Chance gegeben habe. Poppy hat mich in den ersten beiden Büchern überhaupt nicht angesprochen. Ich hatte ehrlich gesagt das Bild eines oberflächlichen Blondchens im Kopf. Doch in ihrem eigenen Band entfaltet sich ihr Charakter unglaublich schnell und authentisch. Die Beziehung zwischen ihr, Colten und Lukas ist wunderschön beschrieben. Emotional, glaubwürdig und ohne unnötig kitschige Szenen. Auch die schweren Schicksalsschläge wurden sehr berührend eingebaut, ohne dabei übertrieben dramatisch zu wirken. Insgesamt hat mir das Buch wirklich richtig gut gefallen.

Pucking Sweet follows Poppy St. James, Lukas “Novi” Novikov, and Colton Morrow in a relationship that is equal parts emotional healing and “wow, therapy bills would be expensive.” Poppy carries deep scars from her toxic, narcissistic mother and the golden-child dynamic in her family, constantly feeling like the extra puzzle piece no one asked for. What I loved most was Novi finally opening up and accepting that he deserves them and that he isn’t alone anymore. Poppy standing up to her family, especially confronting her parents and sister about how invisible she felt, was powerful and long overdue. Her pregnancy pushes Novi into full protective mode (adorable, honestly), and watching Novi and Colton deepen their love for each other made the relationship feel solid, not just spicy but real. Messy pasts, found family, and three people choosing each other anyway: chef’s kiss.

i loved it but there were a few things i didn’t like 1. how poppy started the things i felt so bad for lukas 2. why don’t we know how the three of them came out to the wourld as polly ? 3. lukas and colton had almost no scenes with their realationshio, i wanted more of them together but i still loved the story so much and iam so excited for the next book in this series
